By completing this pledge and committing to vote 100% pro-life as a legislator, you can become a Students for Life Action Approved Candidate.
Every candidate who takes this survey and makes the commitment will be vetted by our Students for Life Action political team. Once approved, candidates will be publicly listed on our Approved & Vetted Pro-Life Candidates page. This list serves as a trusted resource for pro-life voters looking to support candidates who will defend Life without compromise. Incumbents who do not have a pro-life voting record or who have been known to block pro-life legislation in the past will not be included.
Principles of the Pro-Life Generation
- Defund Abortion Vendors: I will vote to prohibit ALL taxpayer dollars from going to abortion vendors like Planned Parenthood for any reason and support a ban on taxpayer funding for abortion through programs like Medicaid.
- Protect Conscience Rights: I will vote to support and defend legislation that protects the conscience rights of medical students, professionals (including nurses, PAs, and doctors), and facilities to refuse participation in abortions and related procedures due to moral objections.
- Conscience Freedom for Businesses & Churches: I will vote for legislation that prohibits the government from requiring businesses, churches, or organizations to offer healthcare plans that cover the cost of abortion.
- Support for Women in Crisis: I will vote to support, defend, and enhance "Every Mother Matters Act" legislation, which requires states to provide pregnant women with clear information about available public and private assistance and connects them with a care agent as a real alternative to abortion.
- Stop Chemical Abortion: I will vote for legislation that criminalizes the production, distribution, and prescribing of dangerous Chemical Abortion Pills.
- Require Accountability for Chemical Abortion: I will vote for legislation that holds distributors of Chemical Abortion Pills accountable for their environmental impact and enacts stronger health and environmental standards for the proper disposal of chemically tainted blood, tissue, and precious human remains flushed into our wastewater system.
- Protect Pro-Life States from Out-of-State Interference: I will vote for legislation to prohibit or deter out-of-state abortion entities from aiding and abetting abortions by shipping Chemical Abortion Pills into a pro-life state or trafficking women across state lines to abortion vendors.
- Work for Protection from Conception: Vote in support of, or to defend and enhance, legislation preventing all abortions after conception (with an exception only for an immediate threat to the life of the mother).
- Support & Protect Mothers, Not Criminalize Them: Affirm that women who procure abortions are often victims of the predatory abortion industry and should not face criminal penalties. Rather, the industry itself should be held fully accountable.

We reserve official Student for Life Action endorsements for strong Pro-Life Champions running for critical seats. When we endorse, we deploy our trained student activists to knock doors on your behalf, because nothing impacts elections more than personal, face-to-face conversations with voters. Due to the desirability of endorsements from Students for Life Action and our limited canvassing capacity, not every candidate who we would otherwise endorse will get an official endorsement. Everyone who fills out this pledge and passes our vetting will be included on our Approved & Vetted Pro-Life Candidates page.
