Idaho Holds the Line Against Abortion with SCOTUS Win Protecting Life

Score another one for the good guys. Thanks to the United States Supreme Court, Idaho has become yet another state allowed to uphold its abortion restrictions after haggling in court with the abortion industry. Along with numerous other states in America, Idaho now protects life from conception with protections for the life of the mother. According to reporting from NPR

“The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday allowed Idaho’s abortion ban to go into effect, for now, and agreed to hear an appeal in the case, scheduling arguments for April.

The court’s order is the first time it has weighed in on a state’s criminal law banning abortions since the high court’s 2022 decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

The order could have widespread effects, empowering other states with less restrictive bans to pass more stringent laws.”

Despite a desperate attempt by the radically pro-abortion Biden Administration, the lawsuit that began in 2022 has been stopped in its tracks, at least for now. These wild attempts to bring back abortion are hardly surprising – since the Dobbs decision, the abortion industrial complex has been pushing hard to go even further than Roe ever did.

For example, the Democrats are pushing hard to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would allow abortions to be committed up until birth nationwide, without any ability for the states to push back, demand taxpayer funding, and trample on the conscience rights of medical professionals.

Likewise, the Democrats have opposed the Born Alive Infants Protection Act – their fealty to corporate abortion (and the dollars Planned Parenthood, among other abortion vendors, put in their pockets) extends to infanticide survivors from botched abortions.

While preborn life in Idaho is safe at the moment, according to the Washington Post, it is expected that this ruling will be appealed before SCOTUS in April: The Supreme Court will review a case challenging Idaho’s strict abortion ban, which the Biden administration says conflicts with a federal law requiring doctors to perform the procedure in emergency situations. But as we’ve noted before in a previous SFLAction blog, there are left wing, pro-abortion politicians that have called on the President of the United States to ignore the rulings of Federal Judges entirely.

That might be their only option if they lose again.
