Late-Term Abortion
A National Campaign to Protect the Most Vulnerable—and Hold Abortion Extremists Accountable
In 2024, over 10,000 abortions in the United States were committed at 21 weeks gestation or later. At this point, babies not only feel immense pain during an abortion but can be born & survive outside the womb with medical care.
Despite this, nearly every Democrat U.S. Senator voted against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act in 2018 and 2020, which would’ve protected children in the womb, aged 20 weeks or older, from abortion.
Then, in January 2025, when Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to protect babies born alive after failed abortions by supporting the Born‑Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 21), only one Democrat—Rep. Henry Cuellar—joined them. The bill died in the Senate lacking 60 votes to advance it.
Elected Democrats across America are working overtime to disregard federal laws prohibiting illegal Chemical Abortion sales and pass bills or constitutional amendments to enshrine abortion in all nine months of pregnancy into law.
Right now, Virginia is ground zero in this fight as Democrats in the Virginia General Assembly have passed the first stage of a constitutional amendment that would allow abortion up until birth into the state constitution. If Democrats do not lose their majority in the state house during the November 2025 election, they’ve guaranteed it will be on the ballot in Old Dominion.
The time to act is now.

The Truth About Late-Term Abortion
- At 21 weeks, a baby has fingers, toes, facial features, and a beating heart.
- By 24 weeks, over 70% of babies can survive outside the womb with proper medical care.
- Nash Keen, born at just 21 weeks in Iowa City in 2024, is now thriving at age 1.
- Because of late-term abortions, some babies are being born alive in abortion facilities and left to die. In Minnesota, Florida, and Texas, reports confirm babies born alive after botched abortions were denied care.

Short Call Script
“Hi, my name is [YOUR NAME], and I’m a constituent from [CITY]. I’m calling to urge [Senator/Representative Last Name] to reconsider their vote against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would ensure protections for infants who survive failed late-term abortions.
Thousands of babies a year could be born alive during failed late-term abortions. These are living infants who deserve urgent medical care—just like any other newborn.
This is a human rights issue, not a political one. Please stand with the majority of Americans who support this common-sense bill."
