Students for Life Action Announces National Call Day This Saturday, The First of Many
“The 2020 election will be held in less than six months, and the Pro-Life Generation will not let the coronavirus slow down our plans to reach pro-life voters,” said Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life Action. “As the New York Times reported this week, abortion is an issue that rallies voters of all ages to vote pro-life first.”
FREDERICKSBURG, VA (05-08-2020) -- Students for Life Action announced a National Call Day this Saturday, May 9th, as part of its #VoteProLifeFirst campaign. The goal is to mobilize at least 100 students during the day Saturday to make a total of at least 10,000 phone calls to voters in Virginia, Arizona, and New Mexico. SFL Action plans to host National Call Days the second Saturday of each month, in addition to its on-going call nights.
Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life Action stated, “The election season is underway, and Students for Life Action is prepared to use our social distancing time to rally pro-life voters in this cycle. As the New York Times reported this week, abortion is an issue that rallies voters of all ages to vote pro-life first. The Pro-Life Generation is ready to mobilize voters across the country to vote pro-life first. In a post-Roe America, we must have pro-life elected officials at both the state and federal level.”
“Pro-choice politicians are hoping that voters are too distracted by the crisis to remember their extremism, but our student volunteers are ensuring that pro-life voters know the importance of voting pro-life first and understand the pro-life or pro-choice record of their elected official.”
In total, Students for Life Action has a goal to make 1 million phone calls in the 2020 election as part of its #VoteProLifeFirst campaign. So far, volunteers have made nearly 50,000 phone calls in 2020, including 7,500 phone calls in Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District during the Democratic primary.
