In South Dakota, lives are being saved due to the hard work of pro-life activists and lawmakers who voted in favor of pro-life legislation to protect life in law and end legal abortion in the state.
Unfortunately, that’s not stopping the abortion lobby and special interest groups pressuring politicians to weaken pro-life protections, allowing loopholes for abortionists to exploit and continue ending the lives of preborn babies.
Medical groups and hospital associations that often donate to Republicans are being drawn into the fight in capitals across the nation, pressuring Republicans to weaken laws and definitions, to let abortionists off the hook with a slap on the wrist.
Legislators must be reminded every abortion ends a unique human life, worthy of love and respect, and entitled to life and to be treated with dignity.
We must encourage legislators to keep their campaign promises and defend pro-life laws.
