From Republican state legislators blocking pro-life bills to national Republican leaders now saying they won’t work to prevent abortions, it’s clear we need more committed "pro-life first" officials serving in elected office.

It’s time for the pro-life movement to reclaim the Republican Party for Life!

You can help bring the pro-life message back to the Republican Party by running for public office or help lead a political campaign in your state. Students for Life Action can support you every step of the way!

Who Are Future Pro-Life Champions?

A Future Pro-Life Champion is a pro-life student or graduate who is interested in running for state or local office or serving on a campaign for a pro-life candidate.
These are the leaders who introduce and pass pro-life legislation to abolish abortion in their states. If you are a politically minded college student or college graduate who wants to take a more active role in advancing Life in law in your state, the Future Pro-Life Champions program is for you.

The Program

Every Future Pro-Life Champion will be trained in four key areas of political advocacy:

  1. Running as a pro-life candidate for local, state and federal positions
  2. Conducting a campaign in an upcoming election season
  3. Cultivating professional connections with other politically minded pro-life leaders
  4. Fighting for pro-life policies and legislation with Students for Life Action

From June 2026 through June 2027, Future Pro-Life Champions receive:

  1. An all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C.
    Join us Thursday, June 18, through Sunday, June 21, 2026, for the exclusive Pro-Life Legislator Strategy Session, where you’ll connect with current pro-life lawmakers and receive specialized training.
  2. A full year of political training and support
    Become equipped to run for office or lead a campaign with expert guidance tailored to every level of government, from city council to Congress.
  3. Ongoing mentorship and activism opportunities
    Receive monthly virtual mentorship and take part in impactful political activism in your state to help abolish abortion.
    (Note: This program does not include financial stipends other than those associated with the Pro-Life Legislator Strategy Session weekend in June.)

Special Notes About the Kickoff Weekend

All Future Pro-Life Champions will be selected and enrolled by April 2026. Round-trip flights, housing and meals will be covered by Students for Life Action. Any additional food or expenses beyond what is provided are the leader’s responsibility.
*Food, housing and flight arrangements are determined based on current prices and regulations, with student needs in mind, so what is provided per student is typically sufficient to cover the weekend’s activities.
