It turns out there are people advocating for preborn violence who also have no problem practicing violence toward those who disagree with them.
Yesterday was such an occasion when a pro-life student was PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED for holding life-affirming signs.
On National Pro-Life Chalk Day, one of the Students for Life of America’s (SFLA) groups, Students for Life at Northern Arizona University (NAU), tabled and chalked on the same day that Charlie Kirk, founder of nonprofit organization Turning Point USA (TPUSA), was holding his “You are Being Brainwashed” tour.
This allowed Kirk and SFLA to inform brainwashed or ill-informed students on abortion extremism, including Arizona’s Prop 139, which, if enacted, would make abortion a “fundamental right” up until “the moment of birth.”
So, our students set up the “Vote No on Prop 139” display about 100 feet from Kirk’s rally. One of our students asked Kirk for an explanation on why we must vote no on Prop 139, and he gave a detailed answer, speaking against the extremism of the bill.
As the crowd started to form and the energy became more tense, a growing group of pro-choice students gathered to protest. They had “Yes on 139” signs and stood in the back yelling at Kirk. We were unintimidated, stayed with our “Vote No” signs, and even passed them out throughout the crowd.
A TPUSA student took a sign when an unhinged female student began yelling and screaming profanities at him. As I stepped back to take a picture of them, it escalated from a verbal beating to an actual beating, repeatedly hitting him with her sign and lunging at and slapping the phone out of the hand of a bystander capturing the incident on camera.
This further proves what the Pro-Life Generation (PLG) has been saying and fighting against for years: the overall assault of the pro-life speech is not a figment of our imagination. It’s real and happens far too often.
As SFLA and Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins has said in the past about abortion supporters’ inability to have logical conversation, “Instead of offering logical arguments and peaceful conversations, the pro-abortion side resorted to what it is best at: intimidation tactics against those they know can’t or won’t fight back. This isn’t the first time, and it won’t be the last, as our history as a movement is filled with this intense opposition. We won’t allow these events to intimidate us or get in our way.”
This isn’t the first time that SFLA and SFLAction have encountered and seen pro-abortion aggression. Just this year, an unidentified professor at Florida International University harassed a Students for Life group tabling on campus.
In Richmond, Virginia, during a pro-life march, a trans activist charged pro-life marchers.

So, while we filed a police report on campus, the assault on pro-life free speech will live on well after this incident. We won’t stop calling out the hypocrisy and brutality of pro-abortion ideology and publicly standing for life in public spaces, including universities and college campuses.
