Coalition Letter: Don’t Mess with Texas, Governor Abbott

Students for Life Action (SFLAction) proudly joins a growing coalition led by Texas Right to Life urging Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to call a special session and bring SB 2880, the Women and Child Protection Act, forward for a vote. This critical legislation demands immediate action to safeguard the health and dignity of women and children across the state.

During legislative session, the Women and Child Protection Act passed the Texas Senate and the House State Affairs Committee, but it did not receive a full vote in the Texas House of Representatives. This bill cracks down on Online, No Test Chemical Abortion Pill traffickers who are sending these dangerous pills into Texas communities illegally. It also allows action against those who distribute Chemical Abortion Pills.

Some of the signers include Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, state lawmakers, and state and national organizations.
