REFLECTIONS ON THE WEEKEND IN WHICH PRESIDENT TRUMP LIKELY WON RE-ELECTION

Over the weekend an assassination attempt against President Trump failed – though the one-time Biden donor did wound the President. However, one person was killed and two wounded before the shooter was shot. President Trump on the scene and since then has been fierce, with many embracing him. Elon Musk, for example, in minutes endorsed. Democratic Party leaders mostly rushed to condemn the attacks, but truly too little too late. NEW YORK POST: The moment Trump won the election.

The bias against a perceived political opponent by the media was obvious for hours. For quite a while, mainstream media acted as if Trump might have just tripped. CNN started with Trump injured in an “incident”?!

CNN: “Secret Service Rushes Trump Off Stage After He Falls at Rally”

Associated Press: “Donald Trump Has Been Escorted Off The Stage During A Rally After Loud Noises Ring Out In The Crowd”

But a headline you didn’t see as details came in:

Inflamed by Party Rhetoric, Biden Donor Shoots to Kill Biden’s Political Rival.

POISONING THE WELL: Just a few days before this, President Biden has said that Trump intended to jail Americans, disband the Constitution, and needed to be in a “bullseye.” (See that 2 min. clip from C-Span here.) And so he was. After the shooting, Biden gave two statements, including one Sunday night, trying to dodge his part, and Democrats pulled the worst of their TV spots short term … likely so their stirring of the anger pot would not be so obvious.

You can look at Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins’ social media for lots of information on a Hollywood/media/political establishment – from Biden on down – who all called for Trump’s death or harm.

Commentators have spoken in volume on this. Historian Victor David Hanson has a great long Tweet/X on “assassination porn.,”  while Babylon Bee posted: Party that Called Trump “Hitler” For 8 Years Shocked as Someone Tries to Assassinate Him.)

UNDER FIRE: The Secret Service. The DEI loving head of the Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, formerly from Pepsi Security, did not seem to prioritize Trump’s safety, and hearings and investigations are underway, as the Secret Service is under the control of the executive branch – in the hands of the Biden-Harris Administration.

After a few “thoughts and prayers” kind of tweets, however, the Democratic Party started fretted about their own futures.

NBC: Democrats fret about the political fallout from the Trump rally shooting

“The presidential contest ended last night,” said a veteran Democratic consultant.

They are not the victims of this tragedy.

LET’S NOT FORGET: Today, a family is planning a funeral. CNN: Man killed at Trump rally identified as firefighter Corey Comperatore, who ‘died a hero’ … leaving a wife and two daughters, and who covered them with his own body to protect them as shots were fired.

This is a game-changing moment in American politics, and we hope that those on the left who have demonized fellow citizens for believe differently will pause their attacks permanently. So that in order to form a more perfect union, this debate proceeds as we debate ideas rather than devolve into personal attacks.

Viewpoint discrimination, abuse of power, weaponized federal agencies and policies have targeted people of faith, pro-life Americans, and conservatives of all kinds. As the election proceeds, we pray we do better, for all our sakes.
