GUEST POST: Late-term abortion and infanticide have dominated the news cycle this week, largely because of the the seismic level blowback against ABC News for their relentless fact checks against former President Donald Trump.  When Trump stated that Vice President Kamala Harris supports abortion until birth and beyond. ABC News’ debate moderator Linsey Davis said, “There is no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it’s born.”

As wrote in a recent article, this is simply not true. In fact, we decided to go right to ABC News’ front door in Miami, Florida.

Before went to ABC News Headquarters, Students for Life of America (SFLA) and Students for Life Action (SFLAction) took our Billboard Truck tour to Florida International University (FIU) and Florida Atlantic University (FAU), raising awareness and support against Amendment 4. This pro-abortion ballot initiative, if successful, would enshrine into Florida’s Constitution laws that make abortion legal all the way until birth: the very late-term abortions that the media and Vice President Harris swear don’t exist.

At FIU and FAU, we reached over 150 students and successfully changed the minds of five individuals on the issue of abortion and hosted an activist briefing to prepare students and volunteers for the fall door-knocking campaign and “Vote No on Amendment 4” push heading into election day.

Afterwards, we hit the road with the billboard truck to the ABC News station to hold the outlet to account for their faulty fact-checking. There, we showcased our new a 30-second TV and digital commercial highlighting the grim reality of partial-birth abortions in our country, focused on the tragic cases of eight babies who lost their lives in Minnesota under Gov. Tim Walz’s watch, according to data from the Minnesota Department of Health and additional reporting from the National Review.

This commercial also noted that as a senator, Harris voted against a measure that would’ve provided lifesaving, humane treatments for abortion survivors. The reason? Harris argues that this would “jeopardize the right to reproductive health care in our country.”

The urgency of our pro-life message has never been clearer: we must unite to protect life and reject the extremism that threatens our values and the future of our state. Voters in every state deserve to know the truth about the pro-abortion extremism of the Democrats. As we continue our tour, we remain committed to advocating for the preborn and educating our peers about the importance of voting “No” on Amendment 4 this November.
