It has been a sweltering summer in “The Swamp!” As we wrap up an eventful summer, here is a look at what the Pro-Life Generation has been working on to support your pro-life endeavors:
YouGov Poll Reveals Pro-Life Momentum & Debunks a Planned Parenthood Talking Point
A recent YouGov poll at first parroted the usual suspects of pro-abortion messaging, but it took place as President Trump’s “Big, Beautiful” Budget Bill was in the home stretch.
MORE Americans said “the country generally is headed in the RIGHT direction on the issue of abortion – now at 29% in June 2025 from 22% in August 2024. And the share of Republicans who believe abortion should be illegal and should never be allowed has risen since last August, to 22% from 13%.
The GOP is on the right track in defending LIFE and in redirecting healthcare spending away from abortion vendors to real, full-service medical providers.

But here is something important to note in our polling reporting:
DEBUNKING ABORTION INDUSTRY CLAIMS
The abortion industry consistently tries to inflate its importance and reach by insisting that many women have gotten abortions and by trying to confuse Americans on the differences between miscarriage and abortion. The abortion industry think tank and apologist, the Planned Parenthood-founded Guttmacher Institute, claims that 1 in 4 women (24.7%) will have an abortion.
But YouGov reports: “5% of Americans say they have had an abortion. 17% say a family member has had an abortion, and 20% say a close friend has. 9% of women say they have had an abortion.”
While we can’t tell you the difference between “What is a woman” and “What is an American,” we do know math. This indicates that only 1 in 20 women or fewer than 1 in 10 have had an abortion, far fewer than 1 in 4.

In an op-ed for the National Review, Dr. Michael New—assistant professor at the Catholic University of America and senior associate scholar at the Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI)—wrote about the poll from Gallup saying, “Overall, pro-lifers should take heart…While there have been gains in support for legal abortion among Democrats and independent women, Republicans have actually become more pro-life in recent years.”

Judicial Insurrection Continues as Activist Federal Judge Forcibly Halts Defunding Planned Parenthood & All Abortion Vendors
Given the unsurprising news that District Judge Indira Talwani believes that she should be able to overwrite Congress, in the case Planned Parenthood Federation of America Inc et al v Kennedy et al, No. 25-11913, Students for Life of America (SFLA) President Kristan Hawkins called it “judicial tyranny” for a single judge to demand that the conscience rights and finances of ordinary Americans be abused to prop up the discredited abortion vendor, Planned Parenthood.

Congressional Democrats choose Abortion over Americans…again.
Democrats, the party of self-proclaimed “democracy” and giving “everyone a fair shot”, has found their Congressional delegation sitting at a paltry 19% approval rating with the American people with 72 % disapproving of their ways in Washington, according to the latest Quinnipiac Poll. The Congressional Democrats, instead of putting forth legislation to help the American people or make people’s lives better, keep obsessing over one issue: Abortion.

EPA pushed to take on Abortion Water Pollution
We can predict that legislation addressing Abortion Water Pollution will be hot in this next session, and we’ll be looking for your support. 😉
Rep. Josh Brecheen (R-OK) and Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) led a bicameral push in a letter to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) this spring calling for EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin to address the potential harm from abortion and abortion pill chemicals in our drinking water.

Passing the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” Act with A New Partner in the Process
We thank Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader Thune for their leadership in this bicameral effort that secured President Trump’s Agenda. And thank you to all who voted for this great accomplishment. Republicans signaled to America that they are delivering for America’s families. This is a historic piece of legislation that defunded Big Abortion will change America’s relationship and its commitment to its lifeblood—the American family—forever.
And as plans are underway for the next “Big, Beautiful” Budget Bill, our request will be the same – Defund Planned Parenthood & Big Abortion for 10 years and in the Base Text of the measure.
SFLAction is also calling for the Senate Parliamentarian to be replaced, to facilitate this long-overdue redirection of funds.
