Pro-abortion activists love to claim pro-lifers are pro-birth, not pro-life. They say pro-lifers don’t care to help mothers and their children once babies are born, and that, once the baby is born, mothers are on their own.
It’s a classic case of crying wolf.
As Students for Life’s Kristan Hawkins points out in an op-ed for Townhall, help abounds from the pro-life movement, including new aid in Trump Savings Accounts.
Hawkins writes:
Trump Savings Accounts represent the newest example of how to financially support children at all stages of LIFE. These investment accounts, which around 44 million families qualify for, offer a new, tax-advantaged way to set children up for financial success — whether that means saving for college, a house, or another large investment.
Meanwhile, Hawkins points out, pro-abortion activists mourn, Planned Parenthood’s loss of hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding, which could be used to help mothers and children, and strike down legislation like Students for Life Action’s “Pregnant Students’ Rights Act” aimed at helping pregnant and parenting mothers.
On the flip side, organizations like Standing with You, pregnancy resource centers, and government programs offer aid to help mothers who choose Life and their children.
She concludes:
If abortion vendors and activists truly supported women and their choice, and cared about helping women in financial crisis, they would work to bring real financial assistance to women choosing Life and tell women about the aid available to them — just like Trump is doing.
The message is clear: Pro-abortion activists are anti-woman, preferring to take money out of the pockets of pregnant and parenting mothers in favor of the barbaric financial success of Big Abortion. Pro-life isn’t just anti-abortion; it’s pro- family, pro-setting children up for success, and pro-helping women in need.
