“As a direct result of federal policy, more than 50 tons of chemically tainted blood and placenta tissue, along with tragically lost human lives, are flushed every year into America’s waterways — and that’s if you believe the Guttmacher Institute math that more than 6 in 10 lives lost to intentional abortion are ended with chemical abortion pills. It’s likely much higher,” said Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins. “Wisconsin legislators are leading in this new frontier of pro-life policy innovation laid out in Students for Life Action’s ‘Make America Pro-Life Again Roadmap.’ Step one, move this law forward in Wisconsin. Step two, repeat in all 49 states and at the federal level, because without intervention, we are drinking other people’s abortions.”

MEDIA NOTE: In the last state sessions, SFLAction spearheaded 26 lobby days across the country and used the Make America Pro-Life Again Roadmap for legislative action. Stay tuned for an even bigger student lobby effort in 2026!

MADISON, WI (11-21-2025) –Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins said that Wisconsin legislators introducing an SFLAction-inspired “Clean Water for All Life Act” was “a sign of great things ahead in 2026.” She continued, “Wisconsin State Representatives Lindee Brill and Nate Gustafson, along with state Senator Andre Jacque, are leading the charge to address the abortion industry’s dirty little secret. Chemical abortion pill pushers have expanded their trafficking at the expense of everyone who wants crystal clear water. Hospitals and medical clinics can’t legally flush chemically tainted blood, placenta tissue, and human remains, but the Biden administration gave a de facto permit to pollute in allowing chemical abortion pill pushers to supersize their markets with no-test, online sales and delivery by mail. It’s up to the Trump administration to finally do the environmental testing that’s been ignored and to go back to the drawing board on chemical abortion pills, which are loved by Planned Parenthood and abusers who use the drugs against mothers without their knowledge or consent. But once again, we see the states innovate to protect preborn babies, their mothers, and the environment.”

Rep. Brill remarked: “I am honored to be the primary sponsor of the Students for Life Action-inspired ‘Clean Water for All Life Act.’ This legislation reflects our commitment to safeguarding Wisconsin’s water systems from the dangers of chemical abortion pills. Protecting clean water is essential for the health of our communities and the integrity of our environment.”

The next step for the legislation will be a committee assignment for deliberation and discussion, likely either the Health Committee or the Environmental Committee. As the session will continue until May 2026, there is time to bring this proposed law all the way through the legislative process. The governor’s office is held by Democrat Tony Evers.

In recent state sessions, the “Clean Water for All Life Act” has received great interest. In 2025, SFLAction tracked more than 1,110 pro-life and pro-abortion bills across 49 states, according to Bill Track 50 legislative tracking software. After the 26 lobby days, 20 pieces of SFLAction-inspired legislation were introduced in 16 of those states.
