In a culture that often seeks to divide advocacy organizations and weaken their collective impact, standing together demonstrates both the breadth and strength of support for protecting life.

By joining alongside national and state partners, medical professionals, policy advocates, and grassroots leaders, coalition letters amplify shared priorities, show widespread consensus, and communicate to lawmakers that the pro-life movement is strongest when it speaks with clarity, collaboration, and conviction on behalf of women, children, and families.

See our list of letters we have supported since the beginning of 2025.

A coalition led by Advancing American Freedom urging Russ Vought, the Director of the Office of Budget and Management to defund Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion in the federal budget.

“As OMB Director, we strongly encourage you to review all federal funding to Planned Parenthood and to take all legal steps possible to ensure that American taxpayer dollars do not flow to Planned Parenthood or any of its subsidiaries.”

After President Trump rightfully released pro-life political prisoners, organizations in the pro-life movement urged United States Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate further how the DOJ has been weaponizing its power against pro-lifers for far too long. This coalition letter was led by Advancing American Freedom.

A letter to Elon Musk, who was the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, to take action to defund Planned Parenthood of all federal funding.

“We’ve long believed that a society can be judged by how we care for our most vulnerable: the aged, the infirm, the disabled, and the unborn. While we are grateful for your work eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse throughout the federal government, we truly believe that the opportunity to defund Planned Parenthood may be yours and President Trump’s greatest moment. Hundreds of thousands of innocent, unborn Americans depend on you.”

A Congressional letter led by members from the House Values Action Team to urge Ways and Means Committee leadership to include a refundable Adoption Tax Credit in the upcoming reconciliation bill.

“We write to urge you to include a refundable Adoption Tax Credit in the upcoming reconciliation bill. Restoring refundability to the adoption tax credit would provide crucial financial support for families seeking to adopt, ensuring they can fully benefit from the credit regardless of their tax liability.”

A letter led by the Paid Family Leave Coalition (which Students for Life of America is a part of), to House and Senate leadership to express our strong support for the Paid Family and Medical Leave Tax Credit Extension and Enhancement Act. This Act would extend and strengthen the Section 45S tax credit originally established in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 and set to expire at the end of 2025. It was passed in the One Big Beautiful Bill.

A letter led by Advancing American Freedom urging Congress to repeal the FACE Act by passing Congressman Chip Roy’s (R-TX) bill, the FACE Act Repeal Act.

“Today, the House Judiciary Committee must do its part to support President Trump’s effort to end the weaponization of government. We, as leaders of the pro-life movement, strongly encourage you to vote yes on today’s markup of Representative Chip Roy’s H.R. 589, the FACE Act Repeal Act of 2025. President Trump is undertaking a massive effort to end the weaponization of the federal government. Repealing the FACE Act in its entirety is an excellent step in ensuring that never again will pro-life activists have the FBI knock on their front door simply for standing up for the most vulnerable in society.”

A coalition led by Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America joined by dozens of pro-life groups and organizations, including SFLAction, urging Congress to defund Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion through the upcoming reconciliation process.

“Planned Parenthood Action Fund, pushes all-trimester abortions and promotes fearmongering lies that put women and girls at needless risk. Their political arm has more lobbyists and spends more on federal lobbying than any other pro-abortion or pro-life group, spending more than half a million dollars in the first quarter of 2023 alone. Women and children deserve better care. In an era of reexamining federal funding, Congress should start by cutting funding for Big Abortion in the upcoming reconciliation bill.”

  • Enforce the Comstock Act letter to President Trump – May 2025

This coalition was led by the Family Research Council to President Trump urging him to enforce the Comstock Act in response to his potential future announcement on where he stands with Comstock.

“Unfortunately, mifepristone can even harm women who do not take it. Unborn babies who die from mifepristone abortions are often flushed down the toilet causing mifepristone to make its way into the water supply. The limited research that has been done suggests that the presence of mifepristone—the drug that kills an unborn child—in the water may be contributing to high rates of infertility and miscarriage. Finally, when mifepristone is not dispensed in person, there is no way to verify who is taking it or to ensure they are doing so willingly. There is substantial evidence indicating that some women are forced to take the medication, sometimes unknowingly. This is exactly what happened in Louisiana where the law protects unborn children and their mothers from abortion beginning at conception”

A letter led by Advancing American Freedom and signed by SFLAction to interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro pressing her to investigate the suspected infanticide of five babies at the hands of a Washington, D.C., abortionist.

“We, as leaders of the Pro-Life Movement, respectfully ask that you conduct a proper investigation into the suspected violations of the Partial-Birth Abortion Act and the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act in connection with the D.C. Five. As the Interim United States Attorney for Washington, D.C., it is your responsibility to follow the facts where they may lead and enforce federal law to protect those most vulnerable in our nation’s capital: the unborn.”

This letter calls on the FDA to prioritize women’s safety by reinstating previous protections for mifepristone prescriptions and thoroughly reviewing data that suggests the drug is neither safe nor effective. It emphasizes the FDA’s core mission to ensure the safety, efficacy, and security of medical products, asserting that the agency’s credibility and the health of American women depend on addressing the documented harms of mifepristone.

A coalition letter led by Live Action and signed by SFLAction urging the United States Senate to act immediately to end federal funding for Planned Parenthood, noting that this language is currently included in the reconciliation package. We especially emphasized that this provision must be kept and passed.

“We, the undersigned individuals and organizations, respectfully urge the United States Senate to act immediately to end federal funding for Planned Parenthood. This language is currently included in the reconciliation package before you. This provision must be kept and passed.”

Another coalition letter led by Advancing American Freedom and signed by SFLAction sent to the House Judiciary Committee urging Republican lawmakers to vote in favor of a bill that would repeal the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, a law weaponized by the Biden administration to target pro-life activists. This was in response to the upcoming vote in the House Judiciary Committee on this bill.

This letter, led by Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and signed by SFLAction, urges Congress and President Trump to ensure that any extension of ACA subsidies is protected by the Hyde amendment. The pro-life Congress must not be a party to the Obama policy of taxpayer funding for abortion.

“The Trump administration recognized the problem with Section 1303 of the ACA in 2019 when the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a rule titled “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act; Exchange Program Integrity” which directed separate billing – requiring insurers to send a completely separate monthly bill to enrollees specifically for premiums related to non-Hyde abortion services. The Trump policy (rescinded by Biden) maximized enforcement of Section 1303, which was all that could be done under the law. However, if Congress makes changes to the ACA or extends ACA coverage, the changes must include complete application of Hyde policy. As pro-life leaders we urge you to ensure that any extension of ACA subsidies is protected by the Hyde amendment. The pro-life Congress must not be a party to the Obama policy of taxpayer funding for abortion.”

In this letter, led by the Blueprint for Life Coalition, we thanked Congress and President Trump for their work to advance pro-family policies in the One Big Beautiful Bill and our priorities for 2026, which include: making birth affordable by expanding the list of essential health benefits to cover all childbirth-related healthcare expenses, supporting Pregnancy Resource Centers by providing a federal tax credit to businesses or individuals who donate to pregnancy centers, expanding access to paid leave by providing funding to states who establish their own paid family leave plans through public-private partnerships, providing for greater coordination of paid leave programs across states to better serve companies and employees who work across state lines.

This letter was led by the Conservative Action Project and signed by SFLAction. It calls on the Cato Institute to retract the deeply flawed study “Politically Motivated Violence Is Rare In the United States,” which was a study released on September 11, 2025. It is rife with methodological errors and contributes to an empirically false claim that “right wing violence is on the rise” at a time when the American right is being targeted repeatedly by left wing violence.

A United States Senate letter led by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and signed by SFLAction written to HHS Secretary RFK Jr. to suspend the approval of any new generic versions of mifepristone pending the outcome of the REMS safety review, commit to ensuring that all generic versions of mifepristone are included in the ongoing reevaluation of prior REMS approvals, reinstate the in-person dispensing requirement for mifepristone and all its generic versions, suspend the distribution of mifepristone and all generic versions as an “imminent hazard” under Section 505(e) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA), withdraw FDA guidance permitting pharmacy distribution of mifepristone and all its generic versions.

A letter to Leader Thune and Speaker Johnson led by Advancing American Freedom urging them to adhere to their principled opposition to the expanded Obamacare subsidies, even after the current government shutdown has concluded — and even as the December 31st expiration of the expanded subsidies gets closer.

A letter led by Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) and Rep. Diana Harshbarger (R-TN) signed by SFLAction to President Trump, HHS Secretary Kennedy, and then-FDA Secretary Makary urging them to immediately reinstate the REMS requiring in-person dispensing of mifepristone and to expedite the promised review by the FDA into the dangers of abortion drugs.

“As Members of Congress who share in the President’s vision for safeguarding life, protecting the health and wellbeing of American families, and ensuring that federal agencies act responsibly, we write to respectfully ask that the deleterious and grossly underreported effects on women of the drug mifepristone be aggressively investigated and decisive action taken to protect women from harm. We also urge that immediate action be taken to, at a minimum, reinstate the in-person dispensing requirement for mifepristone.”

US Senator James Lankford (R-OK) and Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. (R-NC) led their colleagues in sending a letter signed by SFLAction to Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. KennedyJr. and Dr. Mehmet Oz, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator, urging immediate regulatory action to protect the conscience rights of medical residents in graduate medical education programs.

“We are writing to request that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issue a rule addressing a significant issue that is leading to the violation of conscience rights of resident physicians in training across the country. Currently, in order for a graduate medical education (GME) program to be fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), they must provide training in induced abortion as standard training to all [obstetrics and gynecology] residents.’ ACME is the only accrediting body for GME [obstetrics and gynecology] programs in the US and thus there is no other option for training programs or residents.”

A letter led by American Principles Project and signed by SFLAction to Speaker Johnson to address the issue of marriage tax penalties in the next reconciliation package. A portion of the letter is below:

“Marriage is at the heart of strong families. Decades of research show that children do better when raised in married households, and that strong families reduce poverty, improve economic outcomes, and foster the social stability necessary for a thriving nation. Yet too many federal means-tested programs actively discourage marriage, penalizing the very values our country should be encouraging. In certain cases, these penalties can amount to as much as $27,727, making marriage financially irrational for many families.”

A letter to President Trump addressing his statement that Hyde is “flexible,” led by Americans United for Life and signed by SFLAction. A section of the letter is below:

“The Hyde Amendment is at the core of protecting and supporting life. It has saved 2.64 million lives since its bipartisan enactment in 1976. Even today, a nearly 60% majority of Americans do not want their tax dollars to pay for abortion or abortion coverage. 2 Hyde policies are applied extensively to federal programs and have been over the last nearly fifty years. Please stand with all Americans who do not want to be forced to pay for abortions. Americans elected a Republican trifecta in 2024, and Congress should not now scorn their widespread support by forcing Americans to fund abortion through a “flexibility” on Hyde.”

A Coalition letter from dozens of pro-life groups, including SFLAction, to Leader Thune and the Senate to address the expiration date fast approaching, where Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion will get refunded for their Medicaid dollars. See a segment of the letter below:

“We write as a coalition urging members of the Senate to include a provision to extend and solidify the defunding of the Abortion industry for the maximum duration permitted under reconciliation rules in a 2026 reconciliation bill. Under current statutory budget reconciliation limitations, this means enacting a ten-year prohibition on federal funding no later than July 4, 2026. As the nation approaches the 250th anniversary of American independence, Congress has an obligation to ensure that federal spending reflects fiscal discipline, accountability, and respect for life.”

The Blueprint for Life Coalition sent this letter to the Education and Workforce Committee in light of the hearing on the bipartisan Interstate Paid Leave Action Network (I-PLAN) Act, which improves coordination among state paid leave programs to better serve employers and workers operating across state lines.

A congressional letter led by Sen. Young (R-IN) to President Trump, kindly urging him to enforce the Protect Life Rule that the Biden Administration abandoned. See a portion of the letter below:

“During your first term in March 2019, your Administration proposed and finalized the Protect Life Rule1.That Rule ensured that Title X family planning funds could no longer flow to clinics that perform, promote, or refer for abortions, and required clear physical and financial separation between Title X-funded projects and abortion facilities. As a direct result, organizations such as Planned Parenthood were removed from the program when they refused to comply, redirecting those funds to community health centers and other providers that offer genuine family planning services without promoting abortion. While the Biden-Harris Administration moved swiftly to undo this progress by rescinding the Rule, we stand ready to support your Administration in reinstating the policy by promulgating a new proposed rule with the same objective.”

This letter was led by Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and signed by SFLAction. It was addressed to then-Attorney General Pam Bondi regarding the FDA lawsuit in Louisiana. See a portion of the letter below:

“Pro-life states cannot meaningfully enforce their laws when FDA is siding with mail-order abortionists and DOJ is siding with abortion drug manufacturers. Virtually every state has some law on the books that makes the current mail-order abortion regime unlawful, even basic laws like practicing medicine without a license. Yet abortionists protected by so-called “shield laws” ship drugs nationally with impunity, pointing to FDA for cover. Despite firm commitments from HHS Secretary Kennedy and FDA Commissioner Makary to conduct a thorough safety review of abortion drugs, FDA subsequently expanded the availability of the abortion drug mifepristone by approving a new generic version.”

A letter by the Blueprint for Life Coalition and signed by SFLAction addressed to the White House and GOP leadership sharing our family policy priorities to include in the next reconciliation package. The policy priorities were the child tax credit, paid family and medical leave, and a baby bonus.
