“Don’t Fumble on the One-Yard Line,” Says Students for Life Action to Oklahoma State Senate, As Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act Comes Back

With Oklahoma State HB 1168 Now in the State Senate, the Pro-Life Generation Calls on GOP Leadership to Score a Win for Life

“Predatory Chemical Abortion Pill Pushers don’t care who gets hurt as long as they are paid,” said Students for Life Action’s Kristan Hawkins. “In defense of preborn babies, their mothers, and everyone who wants clean drinking water, we are back again the Oklahoma State Senate, calling for an up-or-down vote on a bill to stop Chemical Abortion Pill trafficking. This time, we look to Majority Leader Sen. Julie Daniels and Senate President Lonnie Paxton, who can help citizens in the womb with real protections.”

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (04-23-2025) — Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins applauded Oklahoma Pro-Life Champion Rep. Denise Crosswhite Hader for spearheading HB 1168, an anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking bill. The measure now moves from the Oklahoma State House, where it passed in large margins, to the State Senate. Political operatives note that the measure could move forward immediately to the floor for an up-or-down vote, but it seems stalled once again. “Majority Leader Sen. Julie Daniels could finish the drive for this innovative bill, which is why the Pro-Life Generation is back in action in Oklahoma. And we all call on Senate President Lonnie Paxton to lead as well, ” said Hawkins.

She continued: “Sen. Daniels in particular could intervene on behalf of this innovative legislation to protect women from predators online. Anonymously distributed Chemical Abortion Pills represent an abuser’s dream scenario, while the pills also expose women to injury, infertility, and death. Add to all of this the horrific fact that chemically tainted blood, placenta tissue, and human remains are then flushed into our drinking water, and the victims of these deadly pills extends to everyone who values clean drinking water. And most importantly, pro-life leaders would be protecting innocent preborn babies from an untimely death.”

Last year, this same bill was held up by Oklahoma State Sen. Greg McCortney, who at the time was the Majority Floor Leader. In response, SFLAction jumped into action to educate voters on his stance on Life, and shortly after, he lost his primary.
