The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently approved a generic form of Mifepristone, a Chemical Abortion Pill, sparking outrage from The Pro-Life Generation (PLG) along with numerous pro-life organizations, all left with a sense of betrayal from this sect of the Trump Administration. And we have the list to prove it.

The FDA maintains that its approval of the generic Mifepristone was mandated by federal law. The agency is tasked with ensuring that all medications meet established standards for safety, efficacy, and quality.

We’re not buying that for a second.  If that was truly the case, they would not have greenlit an accessible version of a drug that kills preborn lives and endangers the lives of women with a wave of side effects that range from mental depression to severe infections including hemorrhaging, which could lead to life-threatening sepsis.  This move also comes as a surprise, especially after Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.  stated that the FDA would be reviewing Mifepristone due to safety concerns.

This is not the way to “Make America Healthy Again,” surely. The Trump administration in an awkward position, giving off the appearance that Sec. Kennedy seems more committed to tallow fries and Coke with real sugar than the health and well-being of women and the preborn.

President Donald Trump considers himself the most pro-life president in history. All of this is being called into question by these moves at HHS and the FDA, and allies of the President in Congress are speaking out.  Here is a list of some of the lawmakers who have spoken out against this decision:

  • Rep. Robert Aderholt, AL-4 (R)
  • Rep. Mary Miller, IL-15 (R)
  • Rep. Riley Moore, WV-2 (R)
  • Rep. Diana Harshbarger, TN-1 (R)
  • Rep. Mark Alford, MO-4 (R)
  • Rep. John Rose, TN-6 (R)
  • Rep. Sheri Biggs, SC-3 (R)
  • Rep. Barry Moore, AL-1 (R)
  • Rep. Andy Biggs, AZ-5 (R)
  • Rep. Daniel Webster, FL-11 (R)
  • Rep. Randy Weber, TX-14 (R)
  • Rep. August Pfluger, TX-11 (R)
  • Rep. Michael Guest, MS-3 (R)
  • Rep. Keith Self, TX- 3 (R)
  • Rep. Bob Onder, MO-3 (R)
  • Rep. Russ Fulcher, ID-1 (R)
  • Rep. Brian Babin, TX-36 (R)
  • Rep. Mark Messmer, IN-8 (R)
  • Rep. Nathaniel Moran, TX-1 (R)
  • Rep. Glen Grothman, WI-6 (R)
  • Rep. Rick Crawford, AR-1 (R)
  • Rep. Marlin Stutzman, IN-3 (R)
  • Rep. Eric Burlison, MO-7 (R)
  • Rep. Mark Harris, NC-8 (R)
  • Sen. Josh Hawley, MO (R)

This is a serious point of tension at this point in the tenure of the Trump administration.  Action can, and must, be taken.  The Art of The Deal needs to happen fast—the preborn and women cannot afford to be on the losing end and met with death and bodily harm.
