WASHINGTON, D.C. (02-20-2026) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins announced SFLAction’s endorsement of WV Sen. Tom Willis in his bid for the U.S. Senate. Willis, a proud SFLAction Ally and current member of the West Virginia Senate, is running for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by U.S. Sen. Shelly Moore Capito.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to thank Tom Willis for his unwavering defense of Life and to endorse him for U.S. Senator for West Virginia on behalf of Students for Life,” Hawkins said. “Tom Willis will provide a much-needed pro-life vote and voice in Congress for my home state of West Virginia. Families are the building blocks of society, and Willis has expanded on his values as a dedicated, Christian family man to be a strong protector for all children, in and out of the womb.”
During his time in the West Virginia Senate, Willis has committed to advancing pro-life principles across the board with a 100% pro-life rating— a commitment he aims to bring to the national stage. Willis completed a West Virginians for Life survey, expressing support for telling women about Chemical Abortion Pill reversal, opposing physician assisted suicide, committing to opposing abortion, and supporting mothers who choose Life. He has sponsored numerous pro-life legislations, including SFLAction’s “Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act” (SB 173), which he pushed out of the state Judiciary Committee as Chairman. This bill would impose criminal and civil liabilities on Chemical Abortion Pill vendors.
“Willis has proven his pro-life leadership by supporting multiple pro-life bills during his time in the West Virginia Senate,” Hawkins said. “His boldness for LIFE will make him much-needed voice in Washington D.C. where too many Republicans will ask for our vote but not act on the human rights issue of our day once they get in office.”

The Pro-Life Generation is an umbrella organization encompassing the most-cutting edge engagement opportunities for a Vote Pro-Life First Community. PLG includes Students for Life Action, a 501c4, along with its 501c3 sister organization, Students for Life of America. Together, these organizations make up America’s largest pro-life youth organization. The PLG manages a grassroots political and policy operation engaging Americans of all ages but with a special emphasis on the largest segment of voters — the youth vote. Headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA, PLG/SFLA/SFLAction serves more than 1,600 groups on middle school, high school, college, medical, and law school campuses in all 50 states. Our team has more conversations with this generation targeted by the abortion lobby than any other pro-life operation in the world. Each week, we reach more than 10 million accounts across social media platforms and average 6 million video views. The organization’s CEO, Kristan Hawkins, hosts a bi-weekly, informative podcast, The Kristan Hawkins Show. In addition to SFLA/SFLAction, PLG leads multiple initiatives to lead and serve the future of the pro-life movement, including the Campaign for Abortion Free Cities, Standing With You, and the Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement.
