U.S. Rep. Norman’s Pro-Life Leadership in Congress Includes Leading a Bicameral Amicus Brief to Stop Federal Courts from Forcing Taxpayer-Funded Abortion Via Medicaid
WASHINGTON, D.C. (05-14-2026) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) has announced its endorsement of U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman in his bid for election to South Carolina Governor.
“On behalf of Students for Life Action, I am honored to pledge our support for U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman in his bid for South Carolina Governor because of his unshakeable defense of Life,” said SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins. “Norman is an active leader for Life who not only supports pro-life legislation but goes out of his way to confront Big Abortion head-on.”
Norman received a 100% pro-life rating on SFLAction’s survey, pledging to sign legislation to stop taxpayer-funded abortion across the state, criminalize Chemical Abortion Pill trafficking, protect Life from conception, and support mothers who all too often become the secondary victims of the abortion industry. His leadership is further evidenced by his active role in legal battles like Medina v. Planned Parenthood, in which he fought to ensure South Carolina taxpayers are never forced to subsidize the abortion industry.
“I will continue to support legislation that protects the rights of the unborn and advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves,” Norman said. “Our nation was built on the promise of ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,’ however the key to this foundation is life.”
“Norman is the type of pro-life leader South Carolina needs to protect its most vulnerable residents,” Hawkins said. “He has proven his commitment to Life on the national stage for years. He won’t stop fighting for the preborn of South Carolina until they are protected from conception, and we are honored to join with him in this fight.”
