After a number of hearings with potential secretaries and administrators, voters received concrete answers from the recent confirmation hearing for Todd Blanche to be the next United States Attorney General on what his pro-life action will be.
Last week, Senate GOP members on the confirmation committee asked questions regarding Chemical Abortion Pills, the Comstock Act, Planned Parenthood, and the abortion industry at large.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) asked one of the questions Students for Life (SFL) submitted regarding the Comstock Act, making sure Acting AG Blanche was on the record upholding his commitment this important federal law, which explicitly prohibits the mailing of Chemical Abortion Pills.

Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) ensured that Todd Blanche would address the dangers of no testing and online distribution of Chemical Abortion Pills, which exploit women and violate some states’ pro-life laws.

Senators Hawley (R-MO), Ashley Moody (R-FL), John Cornyn (R-TX), Tom Tillis (R-NC), and Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) also raised important questions related to Chemical Abortion.
Students for Life Action (SFLAction) celebrates the answers received from Blanche, and we look forward to seeing the fruit of the commitments he made in his confirmation hearing.
For years, SFLAction has been the leader in urging all branches of government to enforce the Comstock Act, and people are finally waking up to the fact that this federal law should be and needs to be enforced.
The enforcement of this law would save thousands of babies’ and women’s lives. This would be a magnificent win for the pro-life movement and for preborn children, and SFLAction will work to ensure these promises are not forgotten.
