The Massachusetts House just passed a radical abortion bill which, if passed by the state Senate, would allow abortion past 24 weeks — despite voters not wanting it.
Bill H.2370, deceptively named “An Act Prioritizing Patient Access to Care,” would amend previous laws regulating abortion at or after 24 weeks. The bill would allow physicians to end the lives of preborn children after this time based on nothing but their “professional judgment.”
Previous laws restricted these late-term abortions to circumstances where it was deemed “necessary to preserve the life of the patient . . . the patient’s physical or mental health . . . because of a lethal fetal anomaly or diagnosis; or . . . because of a grave fetal diagnosis that indicates that the fetus is incompatible with sustained life outside the uterus without extraordinary medical interventions.”
The bill was presented by Massachusetts State Representatives Christine P. Barber, who represents 34th Middlesex, and Lindsay N. Sabadosa, who represents 1st Hampshire.
What neither of these politicians will dare to acknowledge is that the young Democratic voters who voted them into office don’t support this radical abortion legislation.
A January 2026 poll from Students for Life of America’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement conducted by Survey USA found that less than 1 in 10 Gen Z and Millennial youth voters support the Democrats’ abortion without limits agenda.
Not only that, but nearly 7 in 10 want laws limiting abortion, and 3 in 10 said they would be more willing to accept further limits if the government provided more support for families.
And it’s not just the youth vote that feels that way. More than two-thirds of American adults want at least some legal limits on abortion, with 35% wanting few circumstances where it is okay and 13% wanting it to be illegal in all circumstances, according to a 2025 Gallup poll.
These are numbers that go well past party lines and break the Democrats’ insistence that Americans desperately want unlimited access to abortion. And it’s time GOP and pro-life politicians act like it.
