The signers note: “It’s long overdue for the examination of an organization that has received more than $10.35 billion in taxpayer dollars, according to a 2022 report. In light of so many serious allegations against Planned Parenthood, we ask that a debarment investigation of Planned Parenthood be prioritized to debar and delist them, stripping them of qualified vendor status and making them ineligible for any federal taxpayer support.”

MEDIA ADVISORY: SFLAction representatives available for interview at the RNC Mini Convention location in Dallas.

DALLAS, TX & WASHINGTON D.C. (09-09-2026) – Students for Life of America (SFLA) and Student for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins said that letters have been sent to the leadership of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Small Business Administration (SBA), and the Department of the Treasury (DOT) from the leading pro-life and family policy organizations in the nation, calling for a completed debarment investigation of Planned Parenthood. The letters were delivered as the Republicans are gathering in Dallas to talk about plans and messaging for the midterm election.

“Pro-life voters, like every part of the GOP coalition, deserve a return on investment for our support of the Trump Administration, which has diligently sought to address fraud and waste of scarce taxpayer resources. They must finish the investigation launched at the SBA earlier this year,” noted Hawkins. “We don’t need 60 votes in the U.S. Senate for the Trump Administration to take a good look at what passes for ‘service’ at Planned Parenthood. Even the New York Times admits there are issues with ‘botched care and tired staff.’”

Groups signed onto the letter include Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, Family Research Council, Faith & Freedom, National Right to Life, Concerned Women for America, American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Americans United for Life, American Principles Project, Family Policy Alliance, CatholicVote, National Association of Christian Lawmakers, and many others.

The letter reports that the infrastructure is in place to complete a review of Planned Parenthood’s so-called “service,” noting:

“Unlike defunding, which can be reversed or limited in scope, debarment bans Planned Parenthood from doing business with any federal agency or contractor, usually for up to three years. Not only would it keep them out of Medicaid, but it would address all funds, including Title X grants and indirect funding through third-party contractors.

“In January of this year, the SBA announced an inquiry into whether Planned Parenthood fraudulently collected $89 million in COVID Paycheck Protection Program funds despite being ineligible, according to members of Congress who demand an investigation.

“Students for Life Action (SFLAction), in a letter to the SBA, also noted reports of illegal trafficking in aborted baby body parts, Medicaid fraud, failing to follow health and safety standards, failing to report sex crimes, and accusations of operating a racist workplace. These allegations demand investigation. A recent American College of Pediatricians report finds that 80% of Planned Parenthood vendors sell sex-rejecting procedures, including to minors who are too young to make a choice for life-long sterilization, leading to concerns about informed consent.

“… When they were in power, Democratic Party leaders called for more use of administrative debarment. In 2022, Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ben Ray Lujan sent a letter to the DOJ criticizing the agency for not suspending or debarring “corporate criminals” from the government contracting process, urging the DOJ to “pursue more robust use of its suspension and debarment authority.”

“Further, women don’t need Planned Parenthood and have other, better options. As Kaiser reports, most women get healthcare from a private doctor’s office. For low-income families, there are more than 19,000 FQHCs, FQHC service sites, and FQHC “look-a-likes” across the United StatesAn estimated 5,500 specifically provide women’s health services. Planned Parenthood, on the other hand, has less than 600 vendors. FQHCs served 32.5 million patients in 2024, compared to PlannedParenthood’s 2.08 million,as reported in their most recent annual report. Women have choices in where to go.”

THE LARGEST VOTING BLOC WANTS LESS ABORTION: SFLA tracks the views of the largest voting bloc in the country – the Youth Vote – who don’t want what the Democratic Party and their socialist friends are selling. Students for Life’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement Poll earlier this year noted that less than 1 in 10 supported the left’s support of abortion through all nine months, for any reason at all, with taxpayer funding, and without protections for babies born during botched abortions.
