Cashing in on Death for Profit: The Exorbitant Salaries of America’s Pro-Abortion Elites

One of the funnier moments from the Democrat National Committee (DNC) in Chicago last week was when Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders ranted against the rich elites in America, who don’t pay their fair share.

“Too many of our fellow Americans are struggling every day to just get by,” Sanders said to an applauding crowd. “To put food on the table, to pay the rent, and to get the health care they need. My fellow Americans, when 60% of us live paycheck to paycheck the top 1% have never ever had it so good.”

The punchline: the person who spoke after him was none either than pro-abortion billionaire Governor of Illinois J.B. Pritzker who bragged about being a “real” billionaire compared to Former President Donald Trump (as of May 2024, Donald Trumps net worth was $7.5 billion.)

But Gov. Pritzker isn’t the only wealthy person championing abortion in America as a tool for the poor and working-class women to take control of their financial futures. It turns out, the loudest champions for abortion make a great deal of money off this deadly business too.

CBS News would define the “1%” as “$787,712 in 2024, a 20% increase from the roughly $652,000 required last year, according to a new analysis of IRS data from SmartAsset.”

Would it shock you to learn that the salary of America’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, is higher than that? Or that among regional CEOs at Planned Parenthood affiliates, the pay was still a whopping $317,000, according to Fox Business.

Just how lucrative – for those who took the stage at the DNC Convention – has abortion been? It’s a relevant question as abortion lobby representatives are out in full force, flacking for the Democratic Party, never mentioning that their own, individual pockets are lined with the profits.

Let’s break down the numbers of the groups that took that stage.

Emily’s List

This organization was harder to identify complete information for, given that their 501c(3) didn’t have an easily identifiable or readily available data set for their 990 financial statements, and their 501c(4) sister organization Emily’s List Action didn’t provide a full picture of the salaries of their top staffers. However, according to the Emily’s List Action  990 from 2023, via ProPublica, limited data did not seem to tell the full story.

However, a separate site identified that Emily’s List’s highest paid executive employee was earning $950,000, according to its most recent updates, and a separate website, Open Secrets, notes that Emily’s List raised almost $50 million in the 2023-2024 cycle so far

The irony in all of this is that these organization leaders represent a business model that tells working class or poor women that they need to buy their deadly product to achieve financial or social stability. But it seems that what they MEANT was financial security for themselves.
