Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has created a new fund to encourage tourists to come to the Prairie State — to kill their children.
At the end of January, Pritzker quietly announced the Prairie State Access Fund, a program meant to invest in abortion vendors and encourage women from Illinois and out-of-state to come to the state to end their preborn children’s lives.
The governor says Trump’s many pro-life actions inspired him to invest more in child murder.
“The Trump Administration is leading an all-out assault on abortion and gender affirming care — but Illinois will not let that happen here. In the face of the anti-woman, anti-LGBTQ campaign being waged by extremists, Illinois has taken a leading role in protecting individual freedom and autonomy,” said Governor JB Pritzker in the press release.
The program is a partnership between the state and the Michael Reese Health Trust. , which claims to be a private “healthcare access” organization, but promotes and funds leftist concepts like Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the COVID-19 vaccines, and, of course, abortion.
The President and CEO of the Michael Reese Health Trust, Ameya Pawar, bragged in the press release about how many women travel to their state to end the lives of their preborn children — more than any other state in the country.
“Illinois is now serving nearly one in four people nationwide who must travel for reproductive and sexual healthcare, placing unprecedented strain on providers and communities across our state,” Pawar said. “The Prairie State Access Fund was created to meet this moment by delivering the flexible, pooled support organizations need to sustain care and respond in real time.”
Students for Life Action (SFLAction) has been fighting the deadly actions of J.B. Pritzker’s administration for years. SFLAction spoke out as Pritzker abused his position to attack pro-life pregnancy centers, force health insurance companies to cover abortion in their policies, attempt to evade FDA safety regulations for abortion, and create a mandate for college campuses to provide abortion pills to students.
Pritzker is also the founder of Think Big America, an organization which aims to expand abortion access not only in Illinois, but across the country.
Pritzker’s administration is currently in hot water with the federal government for attempting to force doctors to provide or refer for abortions in violation of federal conscience right laws.
During the week of Students for Life of America’s National Pro-Life Summit, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) sent a Notice of Violation and Dear Colleague Letter to Pritzker’s state, along with releasing three public notices about prior violations.
And yet, Pritzker’s administration is still taking action to kill as many preborn babies as possible. Planned Parenthood’s Guttmacher Institute lists Illinois as being “very protective” of abortion. Almost 93,000 abortions were committed in Illinois in 2024.
This contradicts the desires of youth voters. A recent poll by Students for Life of America’s (SFLA) Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement, conducted and released by Survey USA, shows that only 1 in 10 Millennial and Gen Z voters support the extreme abortion policies of Democrats like J.B. Pritzker. Almost 7 in 10 want restrictions on abortion, with over 3 in 10 open to higher restrictions if they knew that their government offered increased support for children and families.
Despite not representing the views of the largest voting bloc in the country, Pritzker is publicly toying with the idea of a 2028 presidential run.
SFLAction and SFLA will continue fighting against the radical pro-abortion agenda of Gov. Pritzker and the Abortion Lobby.
