SFLAction Applauds Idaho Heartbeat Act and Urges Signing By Governor Little

“With its strong heartbeat bill, Idaho is taking a crucial step closer to protecting ALL preborn children from abortion violence in the state,” said Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life Action and Students for Life of America. “We urge Idaho’s elected officials and governor to shepherd this bill to completion. The Pro-Life Generation stands with you!”

BOISE, I.D., and WASHINGTON, D.C. (03-16-2021) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) applauds Idaho’s latest step toward fully protecting preborn children from abortion violence via an amendment strengthening the Fetal Heartbeat Preborn Child Protection Act. SB 1309 has passed out of the legislature and SFLAction urges Governor Little to sign the bill into law.

In 2021, Students for Life Action supported the Fetal Heartbeat Preborn Child Protection Act and is thrilled to see the state taking bold, unapologetic action in defense of its most vulnerable.

Polling conducted by Students for Life of America this year finds that 52% of Millennial and Gen Z voters (who make up one-third of the U.S. voting population) want “no abortion or abortion only available in cases of rape, incest, or when the mother’s life is in danger” once a fetal heartbeat is detected – a figure that is up from 47% in 2021.

The poll, available at the Demetree Institute of Pro-Life Advancement, also found that 2 out of 3 Millennial and Gen Z voters support “requiring a doctor to check for a heartbeat before an abortion” – also up 5% from the year prior.
