FRANKFORT, KENTUCKY (02/18/2025) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) proudly celebrates the life-saving efforts of Kentucky state Rep. T.J. Roberts and newly elected State Senator Steve Rawlings for introducing SFLAction’s Anti-Pill Trafficking Act, HB 316 and SB 106. “Watching one our SFLAction alumni, T.J. Roberts, lead the effort to protect mothers and their preborn children from deadly Chemical Abortion Pills represents the Pro-Life Generation’s vision for America. We work to recruit, train, and empower new leaders who will protect life in and in service nationwide. This is how national change takes place,” said SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins.
When T.J. Roberts, an attorney and recent graduate, set out to run for office, SFLAction was there every step of the way until victory. SFLAction played a major hand in supporting TJ’s race, knocking on more than 2,000 doors in his district which resulted in an impressive primary victory.”
“HB 316 will prevent dangerous Chemical Abortion Pills from being trafficked into Kentucky to target vulnerable young women who aren’t fully informed about the risks,” said Rep. Roberts, the bill’s leading sponsor.
Abortion pill pushers advocate for the reckless distribution of Chemical Abortion Pills exposing women and girls to injury, infertility, and death while empowering abusers and polluting our environment.
Roberts is relentlessly fighting to protect the lives of women, girls and preborn babies in his state. “We need to save the lives of preborn babies and protect the health of young women in Kentucky by shutting down this deadly trafficking operation,” said Roberts.
Protecting Kentucky citizens from the deadly effects of chemical abortion will save lives. A recent study shows that protecting health, fertility and the environment is a winning position among young voters.
Gen Z and Gen Y registered voters strongly support this type of legislation, as reported in the Pro-Life Generation’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement YouGov/Survey USA poll released in January.
As noted in the poll’s executive summary: Chemical Abortion Pill protection efforts to protect lives, fertility, and the environment are wildly popular with younger voters, with more than nine in 10 embracing protections.
- Ultrasound screening to save lives from ectopic pregnancy: 92% feel it’s important to have screenings before distributing the deadly pills, with 41% saying its extremely important
- Blood testing to protect fertility: 92% support this protection with 39% saying it’s extremely important
- Studies on the potential environmental impact of waste and drugs related to abortion: 90% support conducting such testing, with 32% saying it’s extremely important
- Red Bag Medical Waste disposal to protect the environment: 90% support this addition to the health and safety standards, with 33% saying it’s extremely important
- In-person care/screening to protect from abusers getting the pills without women’s knowledge or consent: 66% support this common-sense protection
