“Arkansas’ leaders have every right to protect preborn lives, pregnant mothers, and everyone who wants clean drinking water, now at risk from Chemical Abortion Pill pushers out for a quick sale,” said Students for Life Action and Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins. “Even if you support abortion, that’s not a reason to expose so many to deadly risk just because abortion lovers set up a pill-pushing website.”

MEDIA NOTE: Students for Life Action (SFLAction) spearheaded 26 lobby days across the country at the beginning of state sessions and proudly applauds Arkansas as one of many states working on Chemical Abortion Pill trafficking legislation this year, as recommended in the Make America Pro-Life Again Roadmap.

LITTLE ROCK, AR (03-13-25)—Students for Life Action (SFLAction) salutes Pro-Life Champion and Arkansas State Rep. Wayne Long who introduced HB 1678,  an addition to the Abortion-Inducing Drugs Safety Act, an SFLA-inspired Chemical Abortion Trafficking Act in Arkansas. This legislation, HB 1678, would stop the illegal trafficking of dangerous Chemical Abortion Pills into Arkansas where life in the womb is protected and abortion prohibited, unless a mother’s life is in danger. Addressing No Test, Online Distribution of Chemical Abortion Pills represents a massive step forward in ensuring that dangerous Chemical Abortion Pills are no longer trafficked, in violation of state law.

MEDIA ADVISORY: A hearing on the measure is expected in the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday, March 20.

“Every day, the abortion industry ends the lives of preborn children in Arkansas by using endocrine disrupting Chemical Abortion Pills,” said SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins. “Trafficking dangerous Chemical Abortion Pills in ways known to expose women to injury, infertility, and death, as well as empower sex abusers and create abortion water pollution will lead to a body count that should horrify everyone. Arkansas’ leaders have every right to protect preborn lives, pregnant mothers, and everyone who wants clean drinking water from Chemical Abortion Pill pushers out for a quick sale.”

The Abortion-Inducing Drugs Safety Act addresses out-of-state abortionists from places like New York and California, who are illegally mailing Chemical Abortion Pills into Arkansas, penalties include making each act a Class D felony and a fine of $50,000 per violation.

Leading up to this week, SFLAction’s lobbying for this Chemical Abortion Trafficking Act legislation, will be supplemented by boots on the ground actions, including:

  • Testifying at the Judiciary Committee hearing in-person on Thursday
  •  Calls and texts to the Judiciary Committee
  •  Educating voters on legislator responses to the crisis

Students for Life of America (SFLA) and SFLAction have warned of Chemical Abortion Pill’s dangers, including risks ofcoercion for women and minors who don’t want to take them. Thanks to the previous administration’sNo Test, Online Distribution of Chemical Abortion Pills, allowing just about anybody to order this pill cocktail without age, ID, or pregnancy verification, women are less safe. Mainstream media outlets have been proudly and unashamedly touting underground pill-pushing.

Ironically, despite media messaging that unregulated Chemical Abortion Pill distribution is what younger voters want, registered Gen Z and Gen Y voters by margins of more than 9 in 10 support health and safety standards for the deadly pills as well as environmental protections.
