“No American should ever have to drink someone’s abortion. Montana’s ‘Clean Water For All Life Act’ in Montana represents the cutting-edge of innovation, aimed at keeping Chemical Abortion Pill pollution out of our waterways,” said Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins. “During the COVID pandemic, the Biden-Harris Administration gave de facto permission for abortion water pollution, as Big Abortion Pharma moved the business of abortion into people’s home and schools. This bill follows Students for Life Action’s ‘Make America Pro-Life Again Roadmap,’ an innovative approach based on Supreme Court precedent.”

HELENA, MONTANA (02-21-2025) — Students for Life Action (SFLAction) applauded pro-life champion Rep. Kerri Seekins-Crowe’s introduction of the Clean Water For All Act in Montana, a monumental step in protecting clean drinking water from Chemical Abortion Pill pollution. In the days ahead, SFLAction anticipates more pro-life states following Montana as the Pro-Life Generation (PLG) continues to expose the harms of Chemical Abortion Pills to our environment. SFLAction-inspired Clean Water For All Life Act, HB555, will protect clean drinking water by prohibiting human blood, placenta tissue, and human remains to be flushed into waterways during chemical abortions. “Students for Life Action commends Rep. Kerri Seekins-Crowe for boldly leading the way in getting this legislation introduced in the Montana State House. Montana is one of the first of many states that will make American drinking water clean again,” said SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins.
MEDIA ADVISORY: The Bill is expected to go before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.

Exposing environmental concerns resulting from Chemical Abortion Pills is a battle that SFLAction and our sister organization, Students for Life of America (SFLA), have been fighting for quite some time:
- SFLAction submitted a letter to Congress, alongside forty other pro-life leaders, to demand the EPA conduct regular and comprehensive environmental testing of PFAs just like any other “forever chemical.”
- We also submitted a legal analysisto the EPA with detailed reasons to track Chemical Abortion Pills.
- SFLAction filed an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court for the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine.
- In multiple states, SFLAction has lobbied to introduce and ensure passage of lawsthat would protect the environment from pollutants in Chemical Abortion Pills.
- Additionally, we submitted four petitions to the FDAdemanding they:
- Add Red Bag Medical Waste requirements to reduce Chemical Abortion Pill pollution.
- Restore high health and safety standards (known as REMS– Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies) to protect women’s lives.
- Comply with the Clean Water Actby requiring protection for water, especially recreational water.
- And now, halt the relabeling of Chemical Abortion Pills.
We report: The most prominent method of abortion in America is Chemical Abortion Pills, used to commit more than six in 10 abortions, according to the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute. Beyond the millions of preborn babies who will be lost to these drugs, millions of women are currently exposed to injury, infertility, death, and abusers.
Additionally, these drugs contain dangerous endocrine disruptors, which are making their way into America’s waterways through human remains, despite EPA warnings not to flush drugs, chemicals, and even goldfish. Hospitals dispose of placentas carefully as medical waste, and brick-and-mortar abortion vendors are supposed to follow state laws with human remains.
By introducing this “Clean Water for All Act” Montana is setting the stage for other states to follow suit in the fight against abortion water pollution.
