“Five ‘supposedly’ pro-life Republicans joined with Democrats to repeal the pro-life protections Arizona had on the books before the judicial tragedy of Roe v. Wade. We will be reminding voters of their betrayal,” said Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins. “Those responsible will face a grassroots army of pro-life activists working to elect real pro-life leaders. Saying you’re pro-life means nothing if you don’t vote pro-life first.”

PHOENIX, AZ (05-08-2024) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) will be on the ground in Arizona on Wednesday, beginning an effort to educate voters in the districts of multiple Republican lawmakers who voted to pass HB2677, which removed the recently upheld pro-life laws protecting life early in pregnancy. SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins said, “When mothers and babies were betrayed by a few Republican leaders, we promised that there would be consequences – today in Arizona, we’re beginning that grassroots ground campaign to hold five Republicans accountable who joined forces with the pro-abortion Democrats and turned their backs on the preborn.”
Beginning in four districts * (seen below) in the Phoenix area, SFLAction volunteers and staff will walk through the districts of the three House Republicans and two State Senate Republicans who threw their votes behind pro-abortion Democrats, ensuring passage of HB2677.

“The real fight to defend preborn children in Arizona didn’t end with the stroke of Gov. Katie Hobbs’ pen though we are now fighting to remove these weak-on-life Republicans and replace them with true pro-life champions,” said Hawkins. “This November, support for nearly unlimited abortion will be on the Arizona ballot. Consider that right now, abortion radicals are campaigning throughout The Grand Canyon State telling voters that more than 9 in 10 abortions is not enough for them.”
