“Whether aiding the injured on a battlefield or in an emergency room, people rush to help those with a heartbeat, a universal sign of life,” noted SFLAction’s Kristan Hawkins. “Only when it comes to abortion, do we throw medical science and human decency away and pretend we don’t see someone worth protecting.”
This year, SFLAction engaged in Idaho, South Carolina, Texas, Arizona, and Iowa on this cutting-edge issue of human rights … supported Tennessee’s efforts in the last session.
Previously released: SFLAction also worked in 14 States to Prevent Deadly On-Line Distribution of Chemical Abortion Pills.
And SFLAction worked in Four States to Pass Life at Conception Acts.
WASHINGTON D.C. (05-11-2021) – Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins celebrated efforts in FIVE states where in the 2021 legislative session the Pro-Life Generation fought for humane protections of those who have a universal sign of life, a heartbeat. SFLAction worked in Idaho and South Carolina, where heartbeat legislation became law this year. Still in process is legislation in Arizona, Texas, and Iowa. Last year, SFLAction supported the heartbeat efforts in Tennessee that passed successfully and this week was defended in court from abortion extremists.
“It says a lot about Corporate Abortion that they use the courts to defeat this kind of legislation, as they fail again and again to win in the court of public opinion,” said Hawkins, noting that according to reports, 13 states have passed Heartbeat legislation that abortion activists have attacked in court.

Students for Life Action has engaged in an aggressive 50-state plan during this legislative session, working both to fight for life-affirming legislation and against further attack on the humanity of the preborn.
Included in those efforts are SFLAction’s advocacy for legislation aimed at stopping on-line, no test Chemical Abortion, known to cause harm to women’s health and fertility as well as death to women and the preborn. Click here to learn more.
Hawkins and Sen. Steve Daines weighed in on the reckless Biden Administration policies that have expanded the deadly on-line distribution of the life-ending pills. Click here to read more.
