A Court-Ordered Review of FDA Policy Comes Due Oct. 7
“The number of things we don’t know about this alleged review of chemical abortion pill policy is concerning, especially considering the FDA’s Wild, Wild West of abortion they have set up since sloppily approving mifepristone in 2000,” said Students for Life’s Kristan Hawkins. “A real review should have been a first 100 days effort by the Trump Administration along with enforcement of the Comstock Act. But at this point, any review that does not include dangers to the environment and endangered species from abortion water pollution will be an epic fail.”
WASHINGTON, D.C. (10-06-2026) – Students for Life of America (SFLA) President Kristan Hawkins noted that both sides of the abortion aisle — pro-life and pro-abortion — were watching for the fine print of a Food and Drug Administration (FDA), court-ordered review of chemical abortion pills. Hawkins noted: “For almost 10 years, Students for Life has prioritized ending death-by-drugs, the abortion lobby’s favorite way to make a fast buck. We want to see the kind of review that does not rest on abortion-industry studies and includes new dangers, such as abortion water pollution. The quality of the evidence will be key in whether or not the report will be effective.”

SFLA’s recent efforts include filing a notice of intent to sue the FDA for failures to comply with the “Endangered Species Act” as the list of victims of chemical abortion pills expands from babies to their mothers, to aquatic and animal life exposed to abortion water pollution.

SFLA has also been pushing for the federal government to act, via the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), to do on-going testing of America’s drinking water in light of abortion water pollution.
