Pro-Life Generation Continues “Democrats Love Late Term Abortion” Campaign as Obama Rallies Support for Michigan’s El-Sayed Ahead of Election Day

“Former President Obama may be coming to Michigan to rally support for Abdul El-Sayed, but the Pro-Life Generation is showing up to remind voters what’s at stake: the lives of preborn children and the safety of their mothers,” said Students for Life Action Vice President Lane Koch. “El-Sayed’s abortion extremism deserves scrutiny, not applause.”

DETROIT, MI (10-22-2026) – Students for Life of Action (SFLA) activists will protest outside the October 24 campaign rally featuring former President Barack Obama and Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed in Detroit, Michigan, continuing the Pro-Life Generation’s “Democrats Love Late Term Abortion” campaign.

SFLA is returning to challenge El-Sayed’s support for expansive abortion access and his opposition to protections for preborn children. Our activists previously confronted El-Sayed’s abortion positions at the October 8 Senate debate in Grand Rapids, where Regional Coordinator Josh Janda led students in engaging voters outside the venue.

The protest builds on our recent Michigan efforts, including campus outreach at the University of Michigan–Dearborn and Wayne State University, an Unplanned screening, and Grand Rapids church flyering, as we continue educating voters ahead of November 3.
