We call upon the House to advance these bills as soon as possible and demand that the Oklahoma Speaker and Majority Floor Leader become part of a pro-life solution, rather than continuing the problem of Chemical Abortion Pill trafficking. The former Majority Floor Leader blocked our bill. Now the bill returns without that roadblock to saving lives.”

Oklahoma City, OK (03-06-2025) — Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins applauded Oklahoma Pro-Life Champion Representative Denise Crosswhite Hader for introducing HB 1168 to protect mothers and their preborn children from a predatory online Chemical Abortion Pill industry pushing death by mail– without commonsense safeguards – in ways that are known to harm women and to help abusers. “Before legislative sessions began, SFLAction outlined a Constitutionally sound plan – the Make America Pro-Life Again Roadmap – to address the number one method and means of abortion today, Chemical Abortion Pills. Online pill pushing, in violation of state laws, violates a state’s sovereignty and its right to protect all citizens, born and preborn, by enforcing the law,” said Hawkins. “Even pro-life states need strong protections from the vast network of online Chemical Abortion Pill pushers. But today the Oklahoma Speaker and Majority Floor Leader need to be part of a pro-life solution and not the problem, when it comes to stopping deadly Chemical Abortion Pills. SFLAction educated the voters of the actions of the previous Majority Floor Leader when he failed to act, and we are prepared to do that again.”
HB 1168 addresses “abortion-inducing” pills and Chemical Abortion Pill trafficking, making it a felony to distribute the drugs.
Currently the bill is on hold. SFLAction along with pro-life leaders in Oklahoma call on House Speaker Kyle Hilbert and Majority Floor Leader Josh West to make a vote on the measure a priority.
Just last year, this same bill was held up by state Sen. Greg McCortney, who at the time was the Majority Floor Leader. SFLAction jumped into action and educated voters on his stance on life and shortly after, he lost his primary.

But now, SFLAction will amplify the pro-life movement’s call that Oklahoma State House Speaker Hilbert and House Republican Caucus prioritize life in the remaining votes.
