The Pro-Abortion Industry Isn’t Thrilled with Trumps New Attorney General Pick

The Department of Justice (DOJ) Attorney General Sweepstakes has taken an interesting turn after Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz withdrew his name from consideration for the role in the next Presidential Administration. President Donald Trump now nominated former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi as his next selection… and the pro-abortion industry isn’t happy about the pick at all.

The pro-abortion news outlet the 19th notes in a report that “[Bondi] also defended a Florida law that at the time required women to wait 24 hours after meeting with a physician to receive an abortion.”

Additionally, in a press release, the pro-abortion Reproductive Freedom for All (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America) said, “As attorney general, Bondi would be responsible for enforcing federal laws, including those with a direct impact on reproductive and civil rights—such as the DOJ’s interpretation and enforcement of the Comstock Act and prosecuting violations of federal emergency abortion care protections.”

Make no mistake, Students for Life Action (SFLAction) would love to see a United States Attorney General who is serious about enforcing The Comstock Act. That alone would be a significant blow to the abortion industry and abortion in the nation at large, as it’s a law that governs how the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) handles the mailing of abortifacients, intended to end a preborn life.

The law says that mailing the dangerous pills is not permitted… but the Biden-Harris Administration said they did not need to follow that well-known restraint.

In fact, the Biden-Harris Administration only made it worse by abusing of the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) authority, setting up the No Test, Online Distribution of Chemical Abortion Pills. As a result, the pills are widespread to the point where now over 60% of all abortions in America happen with these drugs, according to the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute.

Between Bondi standing up for life during her tenure as Attorney General in Florida, and the potential for her to actually enforce the Comstock Act, there’s a great deal for pro-life organizations like SFLAction to be excited about.
