Pro-Life Generation to Trump’s Small Business Administration: Debar Planned Parenthood, They are UNQUALIFIED to Receive Our Taxpayer Support

“Earlier this year, I visited Speaker Mike Johson’s office, delivering more than 57,000 petitions and counting, from American taxpayers tired of being in the business of abortion. Planned Parenthood has infiltrated numerous federal programs like a cancer, drawing life-saving resources from better recipients who care about all their patients – born and preborn. We celebrated the ‘Big, Beautiful’ Budget Bill that cut some Planned Parenthood funding for up to a year, but the reality is that we need to do more. Abortion is federal when we pay for it,” said SFLAction’s Kristan Hawkins. “Planned Parenthood hides behind their ability to do paperwork, to qualify for funds. Given all the accusations they’ve faced, we need to debar and disqualify them from the federal payroll.”

WASHINGTON D.C. (10-20-2025) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) will launch a series of events around the country, running from Monday, Oct. 20th, to Friday, Oct. 24th, part of a Trump Planned Parenthood campaign that can finish the work of the “Big, Beautiful” Budget Bill by disqualifying the nation’s number one abortion vendor from all federal funds. As part of that effort, SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins sent a letter to the Small Business Administration (SBA) calling for Planned Parenthood to be debarred, a process that investigates complaints against federal vendors to determine if they are qualified to do business with our nation.

She wrote in part: “Doing business with the United States of America represents an honor, a privilege, and a responsibility for any and all chosen. The Trump Administration has been revolutionary in ending abuse and fraud from individuals and companies, as well as ending the heavy weight of financial responsibility on this generation and for many to come. It is the right and duty of this and all administrations to ensure that the resources delegated reach their intended targets, for the purpose for which they were sent. In light of that need, the Pro-Life Generation asks the Small Business Administration (SBA) to begin the investigation to debar Planned Parenthood so that the U.S. will no longer engage in commerce with a disreputable and negligent vendor undeserving of any taxpayer support for its operation.”

Hawkins’ letter echoes concern from U.S. Senators Rand Paul and Joni Ernst, who also asked the SBA to begin debarment of Planned Parenthood, in a letter detailing accusations of misuse of the Paycheck Protection Program during COVID.
“As a physician, I took an oath to do no harm. As a father and grandfather, I’ve witnessed the miracle of life firsthand,” said Dr. Paul. “As a senator, I have introduced several pieces of legislation to halt taxpayer dollars from going to Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers, including the Defund Planned Parenthood Act. My commitment to protecting life isn’t just personal. It is rooted in both science and principle. Life begins at conception, and we must protect the right to life by debarring Planned Parenthood from receiving taxpayer funding.”
MEDIA ADVISORY: Hawkins and the Pro-Life Generation will also deliver a copy of the letter along with as many as 15,000 petitions, added to the 57,000 already sent, calling on the SBA to begin debarment on Monday, Oct. 20th, at 11 a.m. ET, 409 3rd Street, SW, protesting the lack of attention to Planned Parenthood’s troubling history.
Also Monday, a letter will be distributed on Capitol Hill, calling for support for the debarment process, in advance of a federal lobby day, as well as a federal briefing, set for Wednesday. (This event is closed to the media.)
Other outreach to members will include visits to district offices, continuing the work SFLAction did during the reconciliation budget efforts, calling for Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion to be cut from our healthcare programs.

MEDIA ADVISORY: The Pro-Life Generation will also engage in protests at more than 20 Planned Parenthood locations still doing business around the country.
From October 20th through 24th, The Pro-Life Generation (PLG) is calling on citizens to send a clear message to Washington by signing their Petition: urging President Trump to take executive action to debar Planned Parenthood.
The PLG will also be organizing peaceful protests and demonstrations at local Planned Parenthood facilities or government offices. Constituents are also being encouraged to deliver letters to Congress by either hand-delivering or mailing letters to support defunding efforts, as well as calling upon students to set up tabling events or create sidewalk chalk messages on their campus to raise awareness and spark conversations.
“Women & girls won’t miss Planned Parenthood,” noted Hawkins. “Federally Qualified Health Centers outnumber Planned Parenthood and can easily absorb their current traffic while providing women and families with the wide range of real health care they need.”
As SFLA has reported: There are more than 17,890 FQHCs, FQHC service sites, and FQHC “look-a-likes” across the United States. 5,300 of these FQHCs specifically provide women’s health services. Planned Parenthood, on the other hand, has fewer than 600 facilities. FQHCs served 32.5 million patients in 2024, compared to the 2.08 million of Planned Parenthood, as reported in their most recent annual report. More on the comparison on our website here. And while Planned Parenthood likes to pretend they have a monopoly on contraception, if you can get a Starbucks & a Big Mac, you can get the pill.
