To Democrats Who Support Environmental Protection: Why Ignore the Abortion Pollution in Our Water?

When it comes to the issue of Chemical Abortion Pill pollution in America’s waterways, many Democrats would rather protect abortion at all costs, under the guise of “women’s health,” than admit that abortion pollutants may be contaminating our drinking water and the environment —all while causing dangerous side effects for women (and killing innocent babies). The so-called Green Party enthusiasts seem to turn green when offered an opportunity to address abortion water pollution.

Given Democrats’ strong stance on saving the planet and women’s health, we’d expect them to enthusiastically embrace legislation that protects men, women, and children from dangerous “forever chemicals” resulting from toilet bowl abortions.

But that doesn’t seem to be the case, given that many Democrat legislators, such as Senator Elizabeth Warren and Representative Becca Balint, support Chemical Abortion Pill access, despite the pill’s potential to contaminate water supplies. We have to ask: Do they only champion the environment as long as it’s convenient for their abortion narrative? Are they reluctant to look at what’s in the water for fear of what they’ll find?

We know why we’re frightened considering the deadly chemical cocktail’s damage to women’s health and the environment.

Though Students for Life of America (SFLA) asked the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to track the forever chemicals in Chemical Abortion Pills, so far they have refused to address the growing problem, despite setting up a special project to check on forever chemicals.

When women take Chemical Abortion Pills, they’re instructed to flush chemically tainted blood, placenta tissue, and human remains down the toilet, even though improperly disposing of medical waste is proven to be hazardous.  Not only do Chemical Abortion Pills kill innocent preborn children and expose women to injury, infertility, and death, but also environmental risks exist. Because the active metabolites of Chemical Abortion Pills in the drinking water containing these “forever chemicals” can impact progesterone, water testing is vital.

Progesterone is a crucial hormone for men, women, and children. Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) like these progesterone-blockers can significantly damage our health.

Blocking progesterone in men interferes with their testosterone creation, cardiovascular health, estrogen balance, sex drive, and cortisol, resulting in low libido, mood changes, weight gain, fatigue, muscle loss, and poor sleep. Women can experience infertility and other health issues.

Even apart from concerns over EDCs in our water, Chemical Abortion Pills pose an immediate danger to women—long before they enter our waterways. New data from the Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC) study, titled “The Abortion Pill Harms Women,” reveals the ghastly side effects of these pills:

10.93 percent of women experience sepsis, infection, hemorrhaging, or another serious or life-threatening adverse event within 45 days following a mifepristone abortion, far greater than the summary figure of ‘less than 0.5 percent’ in clinical trials reported on the drug label.”

With all of this in mind, one wonders why Democrat politicians oppose legislation that protects both humanity and our environment. If they really care about women’s health, they should be sounding the alarm on the risks to health and environment of Chemical Abortion Pills. But they’re not—quite the opposite.

For example, Senator Jill Duson (D-ME) opposed LD 887, the Clean Water for All Act, which includes “common-sense health and safety standards for women seeking abortions” and would “save lives and prevent water pollution.” In a public letter, Sen. Duson attacked the bill, citing the “importance of maintaining access to abortion.” Apparently for Sen. Duson, access to murderous abortion procedures is more important than access to clean drinking water, even though Sen. Duson was part of the Blue Economy Task Force and sponsored legislation targeting sustainable ocean and seafood industries, keeping Maine’s “blue economy.”

Or take Senator Cora Neumann (D-MT), who has relentlessly advocated for protecting and safeguarding Montana’s water resources. “I will always prioritize working with tribal and government leaders to keep our lands, waterways, and wildlife healthy and accessible so that our children, and future generations, can enjoy the natural resources that make Montana so special,” wrote Sen. Neumann when she ran for office in 2022.

Yet, despite her promise to prioritize Montana’s waterways and those who benefit from them, she outright opposed SB 479, which would have helped protect waterways from “endocrine-disrupting chemical byproducts from chemical abortion drugs entering public waste systems.”

The contradiction between Democratic politicians’ support for the health of women and the environment and their blatant disregard for the dangers to both posed by Chemical Abortion Pills exposes the truth: perhaps they don’t love the environment and women as much as they claim.

It’s high-time Democrats face their fears of what’s in the water and investigate ALL forms of environmental pollution, regardless of whether it fits their abortion narrative.

But, knowing them, we’re skeptical this will occur.
