Students for Life of America Makes BOLD Statement to Defund Planned Parenthood with Life Chain Events in OVER 100 Cities across 33 States & Washington D.C.
“The abortion industry should be shaking in its boots right now as it may be losing the most prominent chess piece, Planned Parenthood,” said Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins. “Starting Thursday, March 27th, in Washington D.C., the Pro-Life Generation will mourn the loss of innocent preborn babies in more than 100 Life Chain events featuring symbolic pink crosses – one for each of the 1,076 innocent babies lost daily from Planned Parenthood’s grisly abortion business. Defunding Planned Parenthood and all abortion vendors must be a priority for every administration – state and federal.”

WASHINGTON D.C. (03-26-2025) — As a part of Students for Life of America’s (SFLA) nationwide Defund Planned Parenthood ACROSS America initiative, from Friday, March 28th to Thursday, April 3, SFLA will hold more than 100 Life Chain events in 33 states and the District of Columbia. The Life Chains are a powerful display of pink crosses, with each Life Chain displaying 1,076 pink crosses, one for every innocent life lost each day as a result of Planned Parenthood’s gruesome abortion business. The events will take place in front of Congressional Offices, on college and university campuses, as well as near Planned Parenthood facilities. The first Life Chain event will take place in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, March 27.

“While the Pro-Life Generation continues to pressure President Donald Trump to defund Planned Parenthood at the federal level, we can still pressure state legislators to look at defunding this death organization at the state level,” said SFLA President Kristan Hawkins. “Especially with Roe v. Wade in the ash heap of history, pro-lifers can speak loudly and clearly for the preborn lives in their states and call for federal action across the nation.”

Suddenly, it seems the mainstream media is catching on to what we have been reporting for years. Did Planned Parenthood think no one would report on what they do behind closed doors? Key points from Planned Parenthood’s annual report in 2022-2023 compared to 2021-2022 prove abortion is a federal issue:
- Abortions rose to 392,715 from 374,155 lives ended. (About 40% of all abortions in the United States).
- Coerced taxpayer funding rose to $699.3 MILLION, from $670.4 million in 2021-2022, and up from $618.1 million in 2019-2022.
- 45 Planned Parenthood locations sold sex-manipulating, potentially sterilizing drugs – up from 41 in the previous report.
