WASHINGTON, D.C. (12-11-2025) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins announced SFLAction’s endorsement of Texas State Rep. Briscoe Cain in his bid for the U.S. House of Representatives. Cain, a proud alumnus of Students for Life America (SFLA) and current member of the Texas House of Representatives, is running in Texas’s 9th district, a seat currently held by Democrat Al Green.
“It is a great privilege to see people go from passionate pro-life student to champion for LIFE, and Briscoe Cain has impressed me and our team every step along the way,” said Hawkins. “I am proud to endorse Briscoe on behalf of Students for Life Action, as his leadership, integrity, and courage are just what Congress needs.”
During his time with SFLA, Cain developed a deep commitment to advancing pro-life principles—a commitment he’s carried into his work as a state legislator. While in the Texas State House, Cain has authored and supported landmark legislation aimed at limiting abortion and expanding resources for mothers, including playing a vital role in the passage of the Woman & Child Protection Act.
