“Rep. Chip Roy pledged to be 100% pro-life on the SFLAction Candidate Survey when he ran for the U.S. House, and he has kept his word,” said Students for Life’s Kristan Hawkins. “He is passionate about helping and protecting our most vulnerable and embodies what it truly means to be pro-life: pro-baby, pro-woman, and pro-family. As they say in Texas; He sticks to his guns. He’s the kind of fierce defender of LIFE that Texas needs in office as out-of-state abortion radicals target the Lone Star State.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (02-16-2026) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins announced SFLAction’s endorsement of Texas U.S. Rep. Chip Roy, a proud SFLAction ally, in his bid to run for Attorney General of Texas.

“I am honored to take this opportunity to thank Rep. Chip Roy for his unwavering defense of Life in Texas and nationwide and to endorse him for Texas Attorney General on behalf of Students for Life Action,” Hawkins said. “Last year’s passage of Texas’ ‘Women and Child Protection Act’ has led to the first civil suit against a Chemical Abortion Pill vendor. Texas will need a state Attorney General willing to defend those fight for LIFE. Rep. Roy is just that — a no-nonsense protector of the most vulnerable among us – who won’t sacrifice what’s right for what’s popular with cultural elites.”

During his time representing Texas’s 21st District in the U.S. House, Roy has committed to advancing pro-life principles across the board, supporting legislation to protect babies’ lives, support pregnant and parenting students, and defund abortion goliath Planned Parenthood with a perfect pro-life voting record. As Attorney General of Texas, Chip Roy has promised to continue his pro-life advocacy, including going after the growing concern of Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking in the great state of Texas, which passed the SFLAction-inspired “Women & Child Protection Act” to stop illegal Chemical Abortion Pills being trafficked into the state.

Roy’s sponsorship and support of pro-life legislation have included SFLAction’s “Pregnant Students’ Rights Act,” the “Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2023,” the “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,” and the “FACE Act Repeal Act of 2023,” among many more.

SFLAction will be door knocking in Texas in support of Roy’s election bid.
