Lead on LIFE Using Federal Agency Authority to Hold the Line on Chemical Abortion Pill Abuses & Use Debarment to End Planned Parenthood’s Federal Funding

“In an election cycle made complicated by high prices and war, the GOP, lead by the Team Trump, gave in to swamp consultants who promised victory if the GOP adopted an ostrich strategy on abortion. This is a strategy that has failed the GOP for decades. Pro-life leadership creates voter enthusiasm, but for the most part, our issue was MIA,” said Students for Life’s Kristan Hawkins. “For decades, swamp consultants have told Republicans to steer clear of the ‘abortion issue’ for their own electoral benefit and the GOP decided to put it to the test this Fall. As I predicted, it failed. So don’t blame pro-lifers for the outcomes of this election cycle. To fix this going forward, there are many things our leaders in Washington can still do in the next two years through federal agencies, and we’re looking for a champion. 2028 is just around the corner.”

WASHINGTON D.C. (11-04-2026) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins noted that pro-life champions whom Students for Life supported will be headed to Washington D.C., but all eyes will be on the future.  Hawkins observed: “To state the obvious, we are now entering a two-year run for the White House, and voters will be looking for a champion. In what has been a grueling two years, we saw Planned Parenthood lose some funding, but they got access to our tax money on America’s 250th birthday. It has been one step forward and two steps back on abortion policy, as federal agencies dropped the ball and allowed death-by-mail to take hold across the country. We worked hard for some key victories, but one big takeaway should be to not neglect the issues that motivate the base.”

SFLACTION’S ELECTION ENGAGEMENT: Ahead of the November 3 general election, SFLAction unleashed a nationwide grassroots campaign, sending students and volunteers door-to-door to educate voters about candidates’ records and abortion-related measures on the ballot. Since January 1, our grassroots army has knocked on nearly 75,000 doors, with almost 30,000 targeted voter interactions. Our pro-life activists also sent nearly a million personal texts and more than half a million emails since the start of the year.

The effort began during the legislative season, when SFLAction held “Unite for Life” weeks in South Carolina and Oklahoma, as well as hosted 46 state lobby days in every state capital with a legislative session. During the primary elections, we held legislators accountable at the ballot box for their work in state legislative sessions.

In the general election, we then deployed 216 student volunteers across nine states, knocking on nearly 60,000 doors and generating over 20,000 targeted voter conversations. We also brought candidates’ abortion records directly to communities through our church-flyering program, reaching more than 100 churches and tens of thousands of congregants in targeted communities with information about where candidates stood on abortion. At the same time, our nationwide billboard truck traveled across the country, stopping in every major battleground state race to put candidates’ abortion records on display.

OUR TRACK RECORD: SFLAction has engaged in the business of introducing and passing pro-life laws since Roe fell and has now worked in 36 states, passing 47 bills, with a state power base of more than 1,700 groups in all 50 states, along with more than 250,000 trained grassroots advocates. Committed pro-life voters represent the ground game of legislative results. Of the 47 bills, 14 were SFLAction measures, and 33 were SFLAction-inspired efforts.

At the federal level, SFLAction has championed 6 unique bills and inspired a “Life at Conception Act,” with legal protections from the very beginning of a human being’s time on earth. Abolishing abortion must be our goal, and protecting innocent life our daily mission.

The Pro-Life Generation (PLG) is an umbrella organization encompassing cutting-edge engagement opportunities for a Vote Pro-Life First community. PLG includes Students for Life Action (SFLAction), a 501(c)(4), and its 501(c)(3) sister organization, Students for Life of America (SFLA). Together, they make up the nation’s largest pro-life youth organization, managing grassroots political and policy operations that engage Americans of all ages, with special emphasis on the largest segment of voters: the Youth Vote. Headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia, PLG, SFLA, and SFLAction serve more than 1,700 groups on middle school, high school, college, medical school, and law school campuses nationwide. Our team has more conversations with the generation targeted by the abortion lobby than any other pro-life operation in the world. Each week, we reach more than 18 million people across social media platforms and average nearly 15 million video views. In addition to SFLA and SFLAction, PLG leads multiple initiatives that serve the future of the pro-life movement, including the Campaign for Abortion Free Cities, Standing With You, and the Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement. Over more than 20 years, PLG CEO Kristan Hawkins has grown the operation into a nearly $25 million organization that is now preparing for an abortion-free America.
