A recent “fact check” attempted by USA Today makes the claim that Former President Donald Trump is wrong about a statement he made regarding the Democrats and infanticide. According to the story, “that’s not true. But Trump’s most loyal supporters have shown us they don’t care about truth if you feed them incendiary lies they want to swallow. And this Trump lie, which he has trotted out repeatedly since 2016, plays well with them and maybe takes the heat off him with the right-wingers. Trump went back to that lie during the debate last month, saying this about Democrats while standing on stage with Biden: ‘The problem they have is they’re radical, because they will take the life of a child in the eighth month, the ninth month, and even after birth.”’
President Trump is of course 100% correct here – and we can prove it.
For starters, nearly every single Democrat voted against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. And what does this act do? Just like it sounds: “This bill establishes requirements for the degree of care a health care practitioner must provide in the case of a child born alive following an abortion or attempted abortion… … An individual who intentionally kills or attempts to kill a child born alive is subject to prosecution for murder.”
One could also ask the former, and now disgraced Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, who once infamously said that he was okay with doctors and parents ‘having a discussion’ about what to do with an ‘unwanted’ baby that is alive and has been delivered during an abortion.
It doesn’t more fundamentally basic than that when it comes to proof of Democrats utter indifference, at least, to infanticide.
Even if you move beyond this reality, there’s still the fact that the Democrat Party loves abortion and moving the goal posts further and further.
Six states and Washington D.C. allow abortion up until the moment of birth. And despite lies spread by Democrat operatives that there is no late term abortion, there absolutely is. In fact, you often get mixed messages that are in conflict, stating:
- that it’s so rare as to be insignificant (as though that makes it better).
- that it’s only in cases of emergency when there is nothing in most laws requiring that.
Talking points are not facts – and facts can be harder to come by when you also consider that abortion data in the U.S. is mostly smoke and mirrors, as we have no National Abortion Reporting Law. While some states report data to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), others report to Planned Parenthood-founded abortion advocate, The Guttmacher Institute, both of which speculate on the big picture. And some states, like California, report nothing at all.
But even if we take the CDC data at face value, they claimed 620,327 abortions took place in 2023. That means, conservatively, almost 3,600 babies face later-term abortions.

And lastly, there’s the Democrats signature healthcare plan, The Women’s Health Protection Act, which if signed into law would allow abortions to be conducted up until birth nationwide, without any ability for the states to push back, demand taxpayer funding, and trample on the conscience rights of medical professionals.
The Democrats are the party of limitless abortion – and yes, even infanticide. And one needs only look at their voting records to see that clearly laid out.
