SFLAction Calls for Action on “Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act,” Would Stop Chemical Abortion Pill Vendors from Sending Mail-Order Abortions in Violation of Oklahoma’s Pro-Life Laws
“Other heroic efforts to go after Chemical Abortion Pill pushers are underway in Oklahoma, but this innovative SFLAction bill provides for criminal and civil penalties. Individuals setting up death-by-mail businesses will face the force of law as well a risk of financial losses. Their best bet will be to stay out of Oklahoma,” said Students for Life’s Kristan Hawkins. “Our goal is to end the partnership between a new abortion cartel and abusers, using the drugs against mothers without their knowledge and consent.”
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK. (02-04-2026) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) students and volunteers will canvas at the Oklahoma capitol on February 10 in support of SFLAction’s “Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act” (HB1168), introduced by Rep. Denise Crosswhite Hader (R) in the House and Sen. David Bullard (R) in the Senate, as part of SFLAction’s push to address the most common method of abortion in the nation today. If signed into law, the “Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act” would make prescribing Chemical Abortion Pills illegal, including by Chemical Abortion vendors from out of state who mail the deadly pills across state borders. “While the Pro-Life Generation knows that abortion is a federal and a state issue – as lives are on the line – President Trump could immediately help those in the states by defending and enforcing the Comstock Act, which prohibits mailing things for abortion,” said SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins. “Until then, state champions must work to get the ‘Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act’ passed, to prevent Chemical Abortion Pill pushers from profiting from the deaths of Sooner state preborn babies.”
More than 60% of abortions are committed via mail-order Chemical Abortion Pills, seriously injuring up 1 in 8 mothers who use them and killing hundreds of thousands of children. And Chemical Abortion Pendors are not quiet about the fact they are targeting pro-life states like Oklahoma. Oklahoma law limits all abortion, except in cases of life-threatening medical emergencies.
According to a January 2026 Students for Life’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement poll released and conducted by Survey USA, the Youth Vote, which makes up nearly half of the voter bloc, believes legislation like the “Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act” is important. Half of the Youth Vote supports in-person dispensing requirements for Chemical Abortion Pills to protect women from abuse, with only 27% opposing such requirements. More than 9 in 10 supported a federal review of Chemical Abortion Pill policy and the reinstatement of health and safety standards that have been stripped away from Chemical Abortion Pills, leaving women at risk for injury, infertility, death, and abuse at the hands of those who use the deadly pills against women without their consent.
Here is what the “Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act” will do in Oklahoma:
- Prohibit mailing, shipping, or prescribing abortifacients, including from out-of-state sources.
- Classify committing or attempting to commit an abortion using an abortifacient on a mother as a felony punishable by up to 10 years’ imprisonment or a fine of up to $100,000.
- Reinforce state sovereignty over medical regulation.
- Provide remedies including injunctive relief, of $10,000 in damages per violation, and recovery of court costs and attorney’s fees. Exclude convicted abusers, traffickers, and rapists from bringing such civil actions.
- Allow civil actions to be filed up to three years after the cause of action or one year after any legal stay is lifted.
SFLAction is encouraging pro-life students and volunteers to join the fight by participating in one of our State Lobby Days.
SFLAction’s push to get the “Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act” introduced and passed is part of our larger Make America Pro-Life Again Roadmap. Launched last November, this legislative package built upon the Gonzales v. Carhart case will help take down abortion at the state and federal level.
