“The legislators and governor of The Sooner State have set the bar high, refusing to bow down to the Chemical Abortion Pill cartel intent on killing babies and arming abusers with deadly drugs designed to kill at least one person every time they are used,” said Students for Life’s Kristan Hawkins. “With the signing and passage of the ‘Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act,’ Oklahoma sends a strong message to pill pushers: You do not get to break our laws and target the preborn babies and women of our state.”

OKLAHOMA CITY, O.K. (05-19-2026) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins celebrated a win for LIFE as Gov. J. Kevin Stitt’s is scheduled to sign SFLAction model legislation “Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act” (HB1168). Oklahoma as become the first state to pass the SFLAction model “Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act” with criminal penalties, and the third state this year to pass an “Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Act,” as part of an SFLAction-inspired effort to end the country’s primary method of abortion today.
SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins will attend Gov. Stitt’s official bill signing, standing alongside House primary sponsor Rep. Denise Crosswhite Hader and Senate primary sponsor Sen. David Bullard. The ceremony is set to take place at the Oklahoma State Capitol with media in attendance.
As previously reported by SFLAction:
The landmark bill passed Oklahoma’s State Senate 37-10, having previously passed the state’s House of Representatives by a vote of 77-19 in Spring 2025. The bill now goes to Governor Kevin Stitt’s desk for signature. If signed, Oklahoma would become just the first state to pass this version of the law, and the first to enact criminal penalties for those exploiting women by illegally trafficking pills.
“Oklahoma’s legislators have shown they care about protecting women and children,” said Hawkins. “But far too many other states have failed to do the same. No more. Students for Life Action will be scoring votes on Anti-Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking Bills across the country, forcing legislators to either take a stand or prove that they don’t actually care about protecting women. This bill illustrates the need for the Trump Administration’s Department of Justice to enforce the Comstock Act, a federal law that prohibits mailing the deadly pills.”

This push is part of our larger Make America Pro-Life Again Roadmap. Launched in November 2024, this legislative package, built upon the Gonzales v. Carhart case, will help take down abortion at the state and federal level.
