With Election Day approaching, the Pro-Life Generation is taking our 2026 Abortion on the Ballot campaign directly to voters and thousands of front doors in Missouri and Idaho.
This weekend, Students for Life Action (SFLAction) teams deployed to Springfield, Missouri, and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to educate and activate voters ahead of consequential abortion-related ballot measures in both states. Missouri and Idaho are two of the four states in our 2026 Abortion on the Ballot campaign, the others being Nevada and Virginia.
The weekend expanded on our Aug. 29 deployment in the Kansas City area, where more than 20 SFLAction team members, students, and community volunteers knocked on 2,239 doors, held 145 conversations, recorded 28 minds changed, and activated 99 voters.
Missouri: More Than 8,000 Doors and Counting
On Sept. 26–27, the Pro-Life Generation returned to Missouri, this time deploying in Springfield as we continued working to pass Amendment 3.
Our Springfield teams knocked on more than 6,000 doors; held hundreds of conversations, including more than 150 pro-life conversations; recorded numerous minds changed, and nearly 100 voter activations, and distributed yard signs.
Combined with our Aug. 29 Kansas City deployment, that is well over 8,200 Missouri doors knocked and nearly 200 voter activations across the two deployments, plus additional results that were not documented.
Those conversations mattered because we found significant confusion at the doors.
Some Missouri voters were getting much of their information from political commercials and were confused about the difference between this year’s Amendment 3 and the Amendment 3 approved in 2024. Once our students explained the distinction and Missouri’s current law, organizers reported that voters changed their initial positions.
Knowing the difference is significant. According to Missouri’s official ballot information, a “yes” vote on Amendment 3 would repeal the pro-abortion provision approved in 2024, allow abortion restrictions with specified exceptions, require parental or judicial consent for minors, and prohibit certain child mutilation procedures for minors.
Our Springfield deployment brought together students from Charles Page High School in Oklahoma and another group from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. For all the high school students and some of the college students, this was their first time knocking on doors, and they left more confident about speaking up for preborn children.
Idaho: Almost 3,000 Doors and Voters Willing to Listen
At the same time, another Pro-Life Generation team was on the ground in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, campaigning against Proposition 1.
Proposition 1 would establish a statutory right to abortion before fetal viability and require restrictions on that right to meet a heightened legal standard, which SFLAction warns could put Idaho’s parental-consent protections for minors at risk.
Our Coeur d’Alene team knocked on nearly 3,000 doors and held hundreds of conversations, including nearly 200 pro-life conversations.
The deployment also resulted in nearly 100 voter activations, while volunteers distributed yard signs throughout the community.
But the numbers tell only part of the story.
SFLA Western Campus Coordinator Luke Keller said some voters were not immediately persuaded but were willing to keep listening. Keller reported that several people agreed to look further into Proposition 1, so the team gave them additional literature and encouraged them to research the measure for themselves.
There was another sign that the message was resonating: We ran out of yard signs.
Keller said demand became so high that the team began compiling a list of residents who still wanted signs shipped to them. He also reported that most voters he encountered supported the volunteers’ work.
Two students from Gonzaga University joined the deployment alongside community members and SFLAction team members. For several participants, it was their first time knocking on doors. Keller said the first-time volunteers enjoyed the experience, while the field report noted that participants wanted to do more and encourage friends to join future deployments.
That kind of activation is exactly why we go door to door.
More Than 11,000 Doors and We Are Not Finished
Across these three Missouri and Idaho deployments alone, our teams have now knocked on well over 11,000 doors, recorded numerous minds changed, and produced hundreds of voter activations.
These campaigns did not begin this weekend. SFLAction fought Missouri’s 2024 Amendment 3 by knocking on over 15,000 doors, sending over 50,000 text messages, and distributing more than 20,000 pieces of pro-life literature. Our 2026 campaign continues that fight while expanding our “Abortion on the Ballot” efforts into Idaho and other states.
With abortion on the ballot this November, we are going where the voters are. By going door by door, conversation by conversation, and state by state, we are working to end abortion in our lifetime.
