Students for Life Action Mobilizes in 13 Cities with Pro-Life Messages Ahead of General Elections

“As SFLAction continues our 2022 election activism in over a dozen cities this weekend, our reputation as a major grassroots mobilizer goes before us,” said Dustin Curtis, SFLAction Executive Director. “We have been effectively fighting for the preborn in all 50 states and engaged in key races to educate voters on pro-life leaders. The Post-Roe generation is equipped and more ready than ever to protect life in law and service in every state.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (10-13-2022) – This weekend, Students for Life Action (SFLAction) will host activism trips in 13 cities in preparation for the November elections. Overall, SFLAction will educate more than 1 million voters regarding which candidates pledged to protect life and those elected officials with a record of supporting abortion extremism this election cycle.

Throughout the primary season, the three-year-old organization SFLAction spent $148,179 in 24 targeted states for door knocking, text messages, phone calls, and mailers that saw 78 pro-life victories, including long-tenured Republican incumbents losing after their weak records on life were exposed.

From October 13-16, 2022, SFLAction groups will be mobilized in:

  • Arizona: In Mesa and Scottsdale, SFLAction will be targeting the swing districts of State Senate District 9 and State Senate District 4. SFLAction will expose the abortion lobby’s handpicked candidates at the state with the hope to keep the pro-life majority in the Arizona statehouse, as well as exposing the abortion extremist record of U.S. Senator Mark Kelly.
  • Helena, Montana: SFLAction Captain, Kaitlyn Ruch, won her primary in the 8th House District at just 18 years old. SFLAction Montana PAC endorsed Ruch and will continue supporting her throughout the general election. We will also encourage voters to thank Congressman Matt Rosendale for voting pro-life.
  • Omaha, Nebraska: SFLAction will engage in SD 18 to expose candidates and incumbents who wish to block pro-life legislation from ending the 2,020 abortions committed annually in Nebraska.
  • Raleigh, North Carolina: SFLAction will engage in open seat races in SD 17 & 18. We will also highlight the pro-abortion extremist positions of federal candidates Wiley Nickle and Cheri Beasley.

  • Cincinnati, Ohio: SFLAction is engaging the swing district, HD 27, to highlight Jenn Giroux’s pledge to defend life, and to expose U.S. Congressman Tim Ryan’s record of support for abortion through all nine months, right up to birth.
  • Des Moines, Iowa: SFLAction is engaging in three State House Districts including two races where incumbents voted against our Chemical Abortion limitation, introduced by pro-life champion Rep. Jeff Shipley. We will also knock doors to expose Congresswoman Cindy Axe’s record of supporting taxpayer funding of abortion and allowing the abortion of viable babies who can live outside the womb.
  • Denver, Colorado: SFLAction is engaging in HD 27 to expose pro-abortion legislators to the overwhelming majority of voters who oppose late-term abortion.
  • Pennsylvania: In New Castle and Scranton, SFLAction will continue to expose incumbents who voted incorrectly on a budget amendment that would have stripped the University of Pittsburgh from receiving state funding until they ended their barbaric practice of fetal research on aborted babies. Students will also canvass to expose the pro-abortion records of U.S. Senate candidate Lt. Governor John Fetterman, and Congressman Matt Cartright.
  • Bellevue, Washington: SFLAction will engage in District 38 races in the House and Senate to expose the abortion records of incumbents Mary Fosse & June Robinson, as well as that of U.S. Senator Patty Murray.
  • St. Paul, Minnesota: SFLAction will be focused in the Saint Paul area targeting the swing districts of HD 55A and HD 47B, exposing the pro-abortion leaders controlling the House chamber in Minnesota.
  • Indianapolis, Indiana: SFLAction will be re-engaging in HD 25.

Students for Life Action (SFLAction), a 501c4, along with its 501c3 sister organization, Students for Life of America (SFLA), make up the nation’s largest pro-life youth organization and a political and policy operation engaging people of all ages. Together they work to end abortion — the human rights issue of our day — and provide political, legal, and community support for women and their children, born and preborn. Headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA, SFLA has more than 1,300 groups on middle, high school, college, university, medical, and law school campuses in all 50 states. SFLA creates strategy, policy, and programming to connect those most targeted for abortion with people ready to help and builds a framework for political engagement on their behalf. SFLA and SFLAction have more conversations with those most targeted by the abortion industry than any other pro-life outreach in the world, reaching more than 2 million people across social media platforms each week and engaging in approximately 100,000 digital conversations per month. Over more than 16 years, President Kristan Hawkins has grown SFLAction/SFLA into an $18 million organization preparing for a Post-Roe America.
