Much has been said about the unrepentant, pro-abortion extremism of the Biden Administration. From the Department of Defense to the Treasury Department, the current President and his lackeys have made it no secret that there’s no lines they won’t cross when it comes to preborn life.
It should come as no surprise, then, that Vice President Kamala Harris, famous for her bumbling incompetence on the Southern border and expertise on how school busses work, echoed this tax-payer funded bloodlust.
During her most recent interview with CBS, Harris argued that Democrats don’t support late term abortions (spoiler alert for the remainder of this blog: they do, and we can prove it):
“It’s ridiculous,” Harris said in a wide-ranging “Face the Nation” interview in answer to GOP claims. “It’s a mischaracterization.”
“I am being precise. We need to put into law the protections of Roe v. Wade. And that is about going back to where we were before the Dobbs decision.”
As was shared previously in another Students for Life Action blog, the Democrats couldn’t stand Roe. Pelosi didn’t want it. And their loudest apologists and cheerleaders in the pro-abortion wing of the Democrat party share that opinion, now, and even back in 2016.
But Harris, just as her flailing political ambitions in 2020 proved, is out of touch with what ordinary people actually think and believe. A 2023 YouGov-Vinea poll conducted by Students for Life of America found that 70% of millenials and Gen Z believe abortion should be limited in all or some circumstances. This number has grown steadily since 2022.
She’s even too progressive for her own home state, The Peoples Republic of California, where a facility committing abortions beyond 24 weeks was closed down and forced out of Beverly Hills. Not even California allows abortion through all nine months – the same can’t be said for Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Alaska, home to one of Biden’s Favorite Republicans™.
And last but not least, the science itself doesn’t even align with her extremist position on the matter. Life begins at conception, period.
So, why would the Vice President lie about it? Simple – because the press won’t push back and won’t ask any difficult, probing questions, despite her own party being on Congressional record when 210 Democrats voted in favor of it. The modern legacy media is part of the strategy of the Democrats and the abortion industrial complex, all too happy to paint a fantastical fictional world where the Republicans who seek to protect life from conception up until the moment of birth are the real extremists.
But carrying water all day for the Democrat Party is hard, tiring work, so we will do the press a favor and ask just one question of the Vice President – can you name an abortion limit that you would actually support??
