“As the nation fixates on Congress and the White House, the Pro-Life Generation is keeping our foot on the gas in another critically important government check and balance: the judiciary,” said Students for Life Action Vice President of Political Affairs Chanel Jacobs. “Activist, pro-abortion judges can stop even the best designed pro-life legislation in its tracks, and the voters of Oklahoma have the chance to send three such justices packing this election day: Noma Gurich, Yvonne Kauger, and James Edmondson. All three were appointed by Democrat governors who have struck down parts of Oklahoma’s premier laws that protect mothers and babies.”

WASHINGTON D.C. (10-29-2024) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) announced a new ad campaign push in Oklahoma where three pro-abortion judges could face rejection by pro-life voters this November.
“Too often these activist judges legislate from the bench, shutting down pro-life laws passed by elected officials, who govern with the consent of the voters who sent them to make laws in Congress or in the State Legislatures across our nation,” said SFLAction Vice President of Political Affairs Chanel Jacobs. “America’s Democracy is not the plaything of judges pretending to be politicians. Voters should say NO to another six years of these politically driven justices using the bench to usurp Oklahoman voters’ values.”

Previously in Oklahoma, SFLAction supported HB 3013 was introduced by State Reps. Denise Crosswhite Hader, Jim Olsen, and John Talley. Like other pieces of legislation designed to restrict the sale and distribution of Chemical Abortion Pills, HB 3013 would also criminalize mailing abortion pills. The bill successfully passed the House of Representatives before being killed in the State Senate at the direction of Senate Majority Leader Greg McCortney.
SFLAction later educated voters regarding his role in stopping the bill, via calls, texts, and mailers. As a result, McCortney was not re-elected.
Last month, SFLAction launched the Democrats for Infanticide Campaign in swing Presidential states and key ballot referendum states. The campaign consisted of the Democrats for Infanticide digital and TV commercial; a proven mind-changing social media quiz that asks voters how well they know either former President Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris’ positions on abortion and the state of our abortion laws. Additionally, there was a video message highlighting the viral story of Tommy Kearns, who came to a public forum asking why he had no say in his daughter’s late-term abortion at five months.
As a Get-out-the-Vote effort, Democrats and abortion supporters have been pushing radical abortion measures as ballot initiatives, which would allow for abortion through all nine months. Abortion will be on the ballot in the key swing states, but win or lose, the Pro-Life Generation (PLG) is going to fight back.
