SFLAction President Receives Award for Courage & Calls on Christian Lawmakers to Act on Their Values at 2023 NACL National Policy Conference

“It takes both courage and conviction to make changes for good, and the National Association of Christian Lawmakers National Policy Conference gathers together lawmakers from across the nation who exhibit both qualities,” said Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins. “I am thrilled to be both speaking and honored with an award at this event as I know that the attendees are strategic partners who will be instrumental in transforming America to become an abortion-free. It is strategic gatherings such as these that get pro-life legislation passed across the country.”

As Hawkins receives the American Patriot Award for Christian Honor and Courage, she joins past recipients including former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, North Carolina Lt. Governor Mark Robinson, and Ambassador Sam Brownback, former Governor and U.S. Senator from Kansas

WASHINGTON D.C. and LYNCBURG V.A. (06-08-2023) – TODAY, Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins will speak at the 2023 National Association of Christian Lawmakers National Policy Conference as the keynote speaker at Liberty University.

In her speech, Hawkins will expound on the importance of protecting life in law; a topic she has written extensively on while helping prepare for a Post-Roe America. To read some of her recent thoughts on American policy, check her op-eds at The Hill entitled “Abortion doesn’t need to be a losing issue for Republicans. Here’s what they should say” and at The American Mind entitled “Advice for the GOP on Abortion Policy.”

Hawkins is also honored to be the 2023 recipient of the “NACL American Patriot Award for Christian Honor and Courage.”  This award to given to American citizens who exemplify Christian honor and courage at a level worthy of distinction. It has formerly been bestowed upon Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, North Carolina Lt. Governor Mark Robinson, Ambassador Sam Brownback, former Governor and U.S. Senator from Kansas, among others.

The president of the National Association of Christian Lawmakers and former Arkansas Senator Jason Rapert said:

“Kristan Hawkins has exhibited tremendous courage advocating for the abolition of abortion in our nation during one of the most critical times in our history – as the Roe decision was overturned and we now fight both federally and state by state for the sanctity of life. She has done so with honor in the face of radical abortion supporters who use hatred and lies to spew venom at her and other pro-life supporters. America is fortunate to have Kristan Hawkins as a courageous young leader.”
