Students for Life Action Takes the Message to “Make America Pro-Life Again” to State Legislators with Lobby Days in 26 States

Calling on Lawmakers to Protect the Preborn, Women & the Environment from the Dangers of Chemical Abortion Pills

“As state legislative sessions begin, the Pro-Life Generation calls on all elected leaders to protect life in law and in service, especially in light of the loss of the most pro-abortion, Presidential ticket in U.S. history. Legislation related to the number one method and means of abortion – Chemical Abortion Pills – need special attention, as women, the preborn, and even the environment face risks from the deadly pills,” said Vice President of Political Affairs Chanel Jacobs. “Students for Life Action will lobby in key states to remind them of the pro-life movement’s priorities and the legislative path forward to undermine the extreme abortion initiatives that passed in the 2024 election.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (01-06-2025) Students for Life Action (SFLAction) students, staff, and volunteers will launch lobby days in 26 states to engage with state leaders nationwide. As a part of SFLAction’s “Make America Pro-Life Again” Roadmap, SFLAction’s legal path forward introduced in November 2024, these lobby days will help fortify the Pro-Life Generation’s (PLG) presence and strength in the state and federal legislative space, encouraging legislators to prioritize the preborn lives by supporting Life at Conception, Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking, and Wastewater bills, as well as defunding and debarring Planned Parenthood.

“Abortion is clearly federal as we pay for it and national mandates demand it, but that’s hardly the end. As the abortion ballot referendums showed, there are so many lives yet to be saved, and with the ‘Make America Pro-Life Again’ Roadmap, our legislative strategy and messaging will engage and embolden state leaders to stand up for the preborn in tangible ways,” said Jacobs. “Bills protecting life at conception, ending chemical abortion, and protecting water provide a framework for life-saving policy.”

The Make America Pro-Life Again Roadmap is a post-election, legal path forward for the pro-life movement to protect preborn babies at the local, state, and federal levels – despite what obstacles currently exist.

One of those obstacles is the tragic passage of state constitutional amendments protecting abortion. The success of most of these amendments has led many to believe that the door is closed to pro-life laws, especially in states like New York, Nevada, Colorado, Maryland, Montana, and Missouri. However, that doesn’t mean new protections for Life are off the table.
