“Rumors of power sharing with the radically pro-abortion House Democratic Leadership signal that this chaos needs to come to an end,” said Students for Life Action’s Kristan Hawkins. “With radical abortion extremists controlling the White House and the U.S. Senate, to allow them a foothold in U.S. House is a dereliction of duty.”
WASHINGTON, D.C. (10-19-2023) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins said that on behalf of more than 1,400 SFLAction groups in all 50 states, the vote for U.S. House speaker would now be scored on the Pro-Life Generation Report Card. “Radical abortion extremists have infiltrated all levels of government under the Biden Administration, as well as in the U.S. Senate. Rumors of power sharing with those committed to such a radical agenda indicate that it’s time for the Republicans, representing the only party attempting to defend life, to get their literal House in order.”
Hawkins made the following remarks: “In our pulse poll in the last week, Rep. Jim Jordan was the runaway favorite of the Pro-Life Generation, getting almost 84% of the vote as their favored candidate for Speaker. Jordan has a stellar track-record on life, supporting numerous key pro-life votes, and SFLAction was proud to give him an A+ on our SFLAction Report Card. And he has been a champion for free speech, something that pro-life Americans desperately need, given the viewpoint discrimination apparent in Attorney General’s Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice. Abortion is a federal issue, and free speech a Constitutional right. We will support Jordan as he works to advance and protect both.”
