Students for Life Action Urges Boldness on Behalf of the Preborn as Anti-Infanticide Bill Introduced
“A vote against infanticide in support for the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act should be both bi-partisan and the floor, not the ceiling, of what’s possible in this new session of Congress,” said Students for Life Action’s Kristan Hawkins. “Providing medical care to a baby born during a botched abortion and struggling to breathe should be an easy vote. A great nation does not hide infanticide – we stop it.”
Students for Life Action will score the vote and sponsorship of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House action on the measure.
WASHINGTON D.C. (01-16-2025)Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins called the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act “the least that we can do for a child born during a botched abortion.” She continued, “As someone whose children struggle to breath when their cystic fibrosis flares up, my heart breaks when I think of other precious children who need medical intervention when born during an abortion. But the Pro-Life Generation wants to see this as a first step to real protections for the preborn who also deserve our love and support.”
She continued: “The reality is that the abortion industry ends life throughout pregnancy, as abortion survivors tell us. In fact, the Democratic Party’s own Vice-Presidential Candidate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, presided over that state when record keeping revealed that eight babies had died after being born following a botched abortion. But rather than address their deaths, the Walz Administration got rid of the record keeping. A great nation does not hide infanticide – we stop it.”
The measure is expected to come for a vote next week.
